Well...this one is a hard one for me to rage. I enjoyed most of it, but there were a lot of things I didn't like.

I liked the storyline, it was better and more logical and mysterious than the first book. The reason Garrick had for being gone for 5 years made sence, that part was better done in this book. I liked seeing the characters from boom 1 and I even liked the kids in this one. Also the steam was very hot....as always.

Now the things I didn't like......I didn't like the flow of this book. Th

Ok, the story and the characters in this one worked for me, but the way the story was told did NOT.

This is one of those books that flip flop between the past and the present, which made it difficult for me to be really drawn into either time, it ruined the momentum of the story for me. I found myself skimming the past stuff, even though that's where most of the best sex was, just to get back to the present, which, to me, was the meat of the story. I think this book would have worked much better

Would have enjoyed this more if the author had cut back ruthlessly on the endless sex scenes that added nothing except...well, sex, to the book and focused more on the story. Just when I'd just begin to be getting into the actual plot, the relationship, the characters, the flow would be interrupted by yet another multi-multi-multi page overwritten, overlong, florid sex scene whose excruciating endless details added pretty much nothing to my understanding of the characters or their relationship o ...more

I REALLY liked this story - the plot, the mystery, the characters, the emotions, the sex...

It is the story of two men who meet and share one passionate weekend together which turns into six months of exchanging emails before the contact between them ends abruptly. Five years later they meet again to find each man has not forgotten the other.

I loved that the short time that Devlin and Garrick spent together made such an impact. I loved the emotional connection between them. I loved that they had

I loved this story. It was mysterious and filled with tension, the characters and their backgrounds fascinated me and, not to forget, the sex scenes were really hot.

The format of the story and how it was told was also interesting: the memories of Devlin's and Garrick's first meeting five years prior to the story start was given from both characters' viewpoints and spread throughout the first two thirds of the book. Rather than annoy me (like flashbacks usually do), these were spaced very cleverl

I really this book. It had some plot and mystery, it was emotional, and it was just a lovely read about a love story between two males. I loved that both men had a dominant streak. They definitely both owned each other. But they also showed their vulnerable side which I loved them about both of them.

When I first started reading this, I didn't know how the author was going to explain the transformation of Garrick or Gradyn after so many years and while one of my guesses did turn out to

What was it about this book that made me so in love with it? Hmmm, let's see.

Perhaps it was the wonderful characters, and not just the MC's. I liked the secondary characters in this book too (I hope Grace gets a book, I hope Wyn gets a book)
.
Perhaps it was the raw erotic writing, struth, the sex was creative and plentiful, but never too much for me at any stage. Devlin earns the prize for most wildly enthusiastic sex partner in any book. His first actual penetrative sex with Garrick (aka Grady

First off, even though I liked the names of the MCs, I felt the author tried too much. As a matter of fact, she tried too much with the names of all her male characters in this series: Ethan; Aidan; Devlin; Garrick; Wyn.

Then again, the majority of the male characters in her other novels have pretty distinct names (Rhone, in Finding Home; Greyson and Sirus in Grey's Awakening; Logan in Breaking Logan's Laws; Canin in The Ultimate Kink; Rodrigo and Braden in Something New; Connor, Cain, Cade, Duke

I absolutely loved this book. It was even better than the first one in this series. I really liked the way the author worked the history & memory scenes into the story without it seeming forced or out of place. The mystery in the story was great just enough to make me want to read more. The characters are great as well Devlin & Garrick were actually developed enough to feel like real people. This story made me kinda believe that love at first sight is really possible.. This was a love st ...more

This author loves to have her characters go through long separations… book one (Aidan and Ethan) used this device, too. Problem is, in a romance it’s a hard sell without a really good reason.

Devlin (Aidan’s kid brother) and Garrick had an explosive one-weekend hookup in San Francisco five years ago. Now, Devlin is home in Redemption, Maine and for five years has tried to forget that weekend. Nothing and no one else measures up to that very brief affair with Garrick.

Until five years later when

Everything I read is just...I don't know the word I am looking for. I mean, it's okay, but I want more. But LESS SEX! The stuff is so sex filled that I tend to skip over the scenes and then I am missing so much of the book because of it.

I did, however, like this one more than the first book. The flashbacks were a bit much for me, I mean, it was 2 days! I don't need a blow by blow (literally) for every second of that t

DEVLIN AND GARRICK is one of those novels you easily lose yourself in to, not because of the suspense but because the chemistry between two people is just that good, it keeps you succumbed to the pages in order to find out how their happily ever after will come to be. When I read the blurb a few weeks back it was initially the mystery which intrigued the daylights out of me because, what had happened to Gradyn/Garrick between that weekend with Devlin and the present? DEVLIN AND GARRICK is the second book in the Seeking Redemption series and I actually liked this book a bit more than the first, mainly because of the characters. I do like the direct approach in people and characters I meet in books I tend to hold to the same standard, so these very brash and sometimes intrusive people I met here worked for me .

When Devlin dream man turns up in Redemption under another name and looking totally different – he was not willing to accept him pretending that he didn

Devlin is a small town gay guy, so he takes a trip to San Fran. There he meets the enigmatic, sexy, tattooed god that is Gradyn. They spend the weekend together, engaged in sexual acts across the board. Then they part ways. Five years later Devlin goes to the garage of his home town, only to find Gradyn there as a mechanic. Only, the guy's physically totally different. He's also got a new name, Garrick--and worst of all, he pretends he doesn't know Devlin at all!

Almost 5 stars.

I liked this book even better than the first book in the series. 5 years ago Devlin Morgan had the perfect weekend. As one of very few openly gay men in Redemption, Maine, Devlin treats himself to an expensive weekend vacation to San Francisco where he hopes to meet a man and have his first physical relationship.

At a bar in San Francisco, Devlin meets Gradyn Connell a large, beautiful, tattooed man. After a weekend of learning about each other in every way, they realize that one

I enjoyed this book, I loved how two people can instantly and believably fall in love. Devlin and Garrick fit, they are able to gauge the other and provide what was necessary.

Well worth reading.

Now I have a great appreciation for Cameron Dane, this author knows how to write those sex scenes like whoa! HOT!....(sighs) but sadly the characters, most times, are over zealous in their reactions to simple things - it's laughable really. If I were so inclined I'd do the scholarly thing and pinpoint the specifics in which I found these MC's lacking, but I'm not so I won't, let's just say Devlin & Garrick were hormonal overgrown kids. The story didn't hold my attention much, I really just s ...more

I really liked this second chance love story about Devlin, a firefighter, and Garrick, a mechanic. They initially meet in San Francisco, where Devlin goes to confirm that he really is gay. Soon after they meet, Devlin and Garrick are hot and heavy in a motel room. However, it's more than just sex. They soon realize that they genuinely like each other, and spend time finding out more about each other on essentially a weekend-long date. When Devlin has to return to Maine, he asks Garrick (who at t ...more

Good m/m romance about Devlin, visiting San Francisco for a few days, who picks up a rough, tattooed guy for some quick fun that turns into a weekend in bed, followed by six months of emails and phone calls before the guy brutally dumps Devlin in email. Five years later, Devlin's still struggling to deal with that when he bumps into a mysteriously familiar (but tattoo-free) guy new in town...

I think I'm going 3 stars on this one...I really enjoyed the first one a lot more...I did like Devlin and Garrick but there were just some things about this one that rubbed me wrong or something. I liked the overall idea of finding each other again and working through the lies/misunderstandings, etc.
There were a few word fouls: mating (ugh!), prick...:(, beautiful...by the 6th time he'd said in 5 minutes I wanted to gag (maybe I'm not romantic?) and sometimes the dialogue didn't seem quite right

good book. nice romance between then two of them, you can really tell they truly love each other. some cute and funny moments, sex scenes a little corny. but a good easy read. i haven't read the first book in the series but it didn't prevent me from not knowing who the other characters were. now i need to read the first so the rest of the series will go in order. lol

This pushed all my hot buttons! The sex was extremely hot and quite frequent - big tick for me!! The love between these to guys was so sweet and I loved seeing Devlin not give up on Garrick. These two were truly made for each other. I love all of these Redemption boys. I can only hope there's more!

I had to have this book after reading the 1st in the redemption series.
I thought that the book was HOT!!!
The main characters showed emotion throughout the book for each other and also for the secondary characters. Alot of these were the same characters as in the 1st book.
The only problem that I had was with the amount of flashbacks we had to that one weekend 5 yrs previously. It must have taken up to about 75% into the book before we got a proper explanation of what had split them apart.
