Does precisely what it says on the tin; an in-depth look at late-1800s girls' education in England, from the reinvention of girls' high schools up to the admission of women to universities. Extremely dense on small details about individual institutions and educators. Probably best for targeted research, or a quick skim for an overview of the period.
