Texas Tangle by Leah Braemel is one of the new releases of Carina Press. The new all digital e-book publisher from Harlequin. And boy did they start with a bang!

Texas Tangle is a wild erotic ride and will take the reader on an emotional journey that they won’t soon forget as three wounded characters learn to love and come together as one. For Brett, Dillon and Nik their story began over ten years ago in high school with Nik and Brett making out at a party, only for Dillon to end up jealous and

Why I read: I wanted to try a book by the new publisher, Carina Press, and this just caught my eye. (Ok, so it was the TWO dudes and just one girl on the cover…who could resist?)

Favorite Quote: “What sane woman would object to having two hot guys buck-ass nekkid on each side of her?”

Dillon Barnett comes from a very close knit Texan family. Even his foster-brother Brett has always felt at home. Rescued from an extremely abusive father as a child, Brett has grown up as a close brother to Dillon. T

This book is smoking Hot! I couldn’t decide if I needed a shower or turn up the fan. I love it so much. I now have a new favorite erotic author. I have always be a sucker for M/F/M. I normally like them where the two males are already committed to this type of relationship this way you don’t go through the I don’t know if I can handle this type of lifestyle and on top of that they have to convince the girl to do it too. Sometime it just gets carried a way, If you read this type of books you know ...more

When I read a menage book, I usually look for a happy ending for all three persons involved, not where a main couple includes a third party that in the end gets kicked out of the picture. Texas Tangle falls into the first category and that alone is enough to make me happy.

Here we meet Nikki. Divorced from an unfaithful husband and saddled with a deadbeat of a brother, found herself involved with her next door neighbor, Dillon and his foster brother Brett.

Unlike most menage books, you get a pai
I dunno... I didn't get this book. It made me laugh, and I don't think it was supposed to. It was very weirdly clinical at times. Plus, who asks a girl if they want to stroke his prostate? Hmmmm. Very weird. There are much better books for this topic in my humble opinion (for example, I preferred A Table for Three), but your milage may vary ;)

Right from the first page Texas Tangle by Leah Braemel draws you in, It's a pantie squealing read for sure and if it had had another 100 pages of Dillon, Brett and Nikki i would have been a happy girl.
With just three main characters and a handful of secondary characters none of which leave you confused with "who is that again...who said what?" Just the right amount of protagonists to build an erotic tale that has both story and substance too.

I’m gonna try and Texas two-step my way through this review.

It’s hard to write a review for a book that just doesn’t do it for you and you can’t pinpoint why? I didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it. If I had to accurately describe my feelings...I tolerated it.

I liked the cover and the premise sounded promising. I should have felt sorry for the heroine, but I didn’t. I should have swooned at manly men Dillon and Brett, but I didn’t. Sometimes you just don’t make the connection. Doesn’t mean it wo

There’s something about a threesome that both terrifies and intrigues me. Apart from the physical logistics of such an encounter, whether it’s M-F-M, F-M-F or any iteration, straight or gay, as a writer, I am somehow incapable of wrapping my head around the emotional dynamic that must exist for such a relationship to work. In trying to put myself in the heroine’s shoes, all I can think is: “Oh, God, what do I… Where do I… How are we…I mean, does that go there…? And who does the laundry?” Sweat, ...more

I feel kind of neutral about this story. It didn’t overly excite me but then it didn’t bore me to tears either. The plot was okay but I was expecting more. I felt Dillon and Brett’s characters could have been explored a little more. We learn a lot about Nikki and her failed marriage, but not a thing about what these two hot guys have been up to for 10 years, why neither of them married etc!

Nikki arrives home and finds she has been robbed; everyone assumes it is her brother. (view sp

The "Short Story:"

A HOT little number featuring a HOT cowboy, a HOT cop and a "HOT" chick that they BOTH want.

The "Long Story:"

I saw this e-book on one of Goodreads lists that I LOVE to frequent and I went to see if I could find it on my Nook...Since according to Goodreads it was available for Kindle users. I was beyond happy when I was able to download this one onto my Nook! I'm a HAPPY e-book reader! I'm even happier that in the last 8 hours and 40 minutes I've read 2 books so far!

Nikki has been through a lot at the hands of her ex-husband and her brother but she has always had her neighbour Dillon and his foster brother Brett to turn to. When her truck breaks down one night and Dillon offers to drive her home they discover her house is empty and everything she owns has been stolen. Moving in with Dillon the heat quickly builds between the two of them but Nikki also has feelings for Brett. Brett and Dillon fought over Nikki years before and now that she is free again they ...more

Nikki Kimball has been doing everything in her power to change the direction of her life, with a failed marriage, an unsupportive family, and a brother who is mooching of her it has been a windy road, but she is managing. Thanks to the help of her neighbor Dillon Barnett she has received the support she has always longed for, even though she is attracted to Dillon she is surprised he has never made a move.

The timing is finally right for Dillon to ask Nikki out, but when he sees she has an inter
Whew this one is as hot as the Texas heat!

I must admit that I loved this book because of the strong character development. So often with this type of writing, you find more porn than plot, but definitely not the case with this book. With that said, the love scenes are still incredibly steamy!

Brett and Dillon are closer than any best friends could be, but the only thing that has ever come between them has left them at odds yet again. Nicole has come out of her divorce stronger, but has a lot to

What I liked about this book, is that it has more plot than porn. It is clearly driven by the story and not with how many times they could fall into bed.

I does feel a little unfinished though. It could have done with a couple more chapters where the author got to tie up all the lose ends. But I'm guessing she couldn't go over a specific amount of words, so this is where it ended.

The porn part of this book is kind of tame compared to how books are written these days, placing it firmly in the roma

This was a pretty good read...not the best, but certainly not the worst. Took a little too much time to get to the heart of the matter IMO and too little time once we got there.

Nikki is almost home from rescuing a horse. She has been driving for hours and her truck breaks down. No one will stop to help. She's just about given up when Dillon sees her and stops. She has always had a thing for Dillon. But he never asked her out and she ended up marrying a divorcing someone else. She has had some bad times. He calls for a tow truck and takes her and the horse home only to find that her crappy brother stole everything she had and took off. He even took her clothes

Texas Tangle is brilliant! Leah Braemel, already proven to be an award winning author with her books Private Property and Personal Protection, has in Texas Tangle written a heartwarming erotic ménage that is superb both as a great narrative and as an outstanding erotic romance. I liked this one. Nikki and Dillon together were great and after everything she has been trough she deserves to be treated right, while I liked Brett he was such the "martyr" in the beginning....while kind of got old after a while. But they all finally pull it together and take a chance on each other and we get our HEA

The sex scenes between Dillon and Nikki were hot. The connection between the two of them felt real. Unfortunately, I felt like the relationship between Nikki and Brett was forced in order to create the threesome.

There were moments when I thought the story was touching and times I found it completely ridiculous.

I really enjoyed this book...

things I didn't like/thought could have been better
-I was expecting a little bit of M/M, which Dillon had fantasized about, but never made happen, I was totally bummed about that
-I felt like Dillon and sometimes Brett were too willing to walk away from Nikki, it kind of took away from the love story of it all just a little bit
-I felt like something a little more climatic should have happened with her brother

things I did like
-the close relationship between the
Brutally Honest

- two hot heroes, one capable heroine (with no body issues, which I love, because I just cannot relate to heroines with body issues)
- the Hs had separate personalities
- the h is properly wary of a new relationship
- all three struggle with the idea of polygamy
- tortured H... <3

- lack of depth

Basically, this was a cute and sweet story. It was definitely all about the romance and sex, though, and not much else. I feel that the situation with the h's family troubles was somewhat abused

Wow that was good. It is really difficult to do a MFM in which the reader can believe that all three characters are getting their needs met and this one delivers in spades. The backstory of the characters made the relationship credible. It is especially challenging to create a scenario in which two straight men would agree to share a women on a permanent basis. Braemel, however, captures the genuine love between the two men and shows how their shared past led to them be willing to accept the arr ...more

My thoughts: Texas Tangle is a ménage story, so what was a good surprise was to see that this was not only a very hot but also a sweet and funny novel.

What I loved about Texas Tangle was that all three main characters were given equal importance, background story and the reader didn't feel that one of them was added to the story purely for the sake of having a ménage.

Nikki, Dillon and Brett are friends first and foremost and I think that is why their ménage works, because there is a deep under

Well this was sweet. More 3.5 than 3. Nikki is divorced from her philandering ex. They had only gotten married because she got pregnant and her parents forced it. But ever since the divorce, she's been trying to keep up her homestead, basically on her own. Her convict brother, Phil, stays with her because her parents guilted her into it and she thought it was her duty as family to do it.

We start the story with Nikki's truck breaking down just a few miles from her house. She's coming back from pi

Okay, this is a little bit of an older title. Looks like it was published in 2010 and is Book 1 of what looks like a two book series. But I've never heard of this author and I've never really read a cowboy type of book. Well, this wasn't really a cowboy book and holy hell, it was hot!!!

So Texas Tangle is about a girl and a guy... and another guy. I couldn't believe where this was headed as I was reading it but wow, it w

Nikki has been waiting on Dillon to make a move on her since her divorce two years ago. She thinks he's interested in her, but not truly sure due to his lack of trying anything. So when her truck breaks down on the side of the road and he happens upon her, the sparks between them begin to fly.

It started out great. It was just Nikki and Dillon, and I loved their chemistry and interaction with each other. The sex between them was always smoking hot, but it seemed as if Dillon was more into Nikki t

Memorable Scenes:
- table smexing scene, including whipped cream and caramel sauce > Need I say more?
- Brett telling Nikki how Dillon saved his life > yes, I cried.
- Scene at the pond > I cried again.

Nikki Kimball is divorced and struggling, still she strives to maintain her independence and she’s resilient. Nikki is a people pleaser and stubborn, a mix of strength and softness and bit insecure at times. Nikki's parents were a piece of work, with parents like that who need
