Alligator Gold takes place right after the Civil War. The author has created a great view into the time period. I loved Hawk's son Tavis. He's like an animal whisperer. All animals love him and he has a tame hawk. There is a scene where he sicks his pet skunk on the bad guys that had me in stitches. Great read with lots of action, romance and fun. You have to love a book where the bad guys get exactly what they deserve.
