I had bought this book for the version of Elements I had before I got Photoshop and it was a good reference for me since it taught many of the same techniques, using the same photos, but the screens and tools in Photoshop to help me learn the difference between the two when trying to do the same technique. Great book - just gets the job done. You immediately want to open a photo you already have and try it out, and when you do you see instant results.

Thank you once again, Scott Kelby, for another excellent book! This one is brand new, for Photoshop CS3. As a new PS3 owner, I was really glad for the good section on Bridge use, as well as camera RAW. Kelby is always clear and concise in his instruction, great color illustrations, good easy to understand "how-to" steps. For beginners and for more skilled technoids, too. Nearly 500 pages of good, practical help; a bit pricy, but you get what you pay for.

recommends it for:
aspiring photographers with Photoshop, proffessional photographers new to digital /photoshop
This book was sitting all by itself at Costco calling my name, but I have no idea where I will find the time to tackle this project. I have trouble just finding the time to order/organize digital prints on Shutterfly, let alone edit them. I have had photography aspirations for a long time and this book will be a good tool to get me started.

I think I'm going to end up hating it. It's littered with bad jokes.
