This book starts with an argument with a daughter and her grandma about changing their store for the current market. Little did they know that within the day the old and new would soon become entwined in more than one way. A murdered body found in the rose garden soon has the whole town of Ellington up in arms and accusing a very trustworthy family. The hero and heroine, a cop and a widow of a cop must come to terms with their relationship and the fact that the truth might have unhappy consequen...more

My biggest problem with this novel was not the speed of Rich and Nicole's romance (the epilogue helps this, in addition to the fact that Rich was interested before he even met Nicole). My problem was the fact that there were too many twists and turns in the storyline. A few less complications would have created an overall more...more

I love Jill Elizabeth Nelson ~ her books are so different and the characters become so real. This book has become one of my favorites ~ it was a definite page turner to the end. Full of suspence ~ mystery ~ and great writing. I couldn't ask for more!

I found myself thinking about this book when I wasn't reading it, so that is a good sign that I was intrigued by the plot. Not crazy about the choice of victims, but good character development and story.

It was a good book and kept you in suspense until the end. I did sort of think about the ending and nailed it before I was finished. Definitely a keeper for my collection of books.

Another great by the Deep POV lady. Great plot, fooled me with the ending. Fast action and a real page turner, highly recommend.
