NATIVE TONGUE is a bit of a departure from the series as it has a much more serious tone than the previous books. But it is by far the best. Parrott is a wonderful character with some deeply emotional issues. The premise of family is much stronger in this book than the others ...more
Gigi in this gets kind of a second love interest? I liked him and I usually hate (when I say hate, I mean hate) love triangles but, this isn't really one of those. I think the person who is the second character here does a good job and Greenland as always gets it pretty right when writing about these characters.

The Specialists is a younger YA series. They’re quick, fun reads about a group of teenagers with special abilities who have been recruited to work for a government program. I borrowed the first from a friend in May, and then borrowed the next three from the library. I think a younger audience would enjoy these books a lot.
But GiGi and David. Whyyyyyy? My heart is in pieces. Seriously.
