The song I did was The Last Song. The authors purpose in writing this book is to entertain but to also to inform the reader. It is written to entertain because it is a love story and it is funny. But also it is to inform the reader because even though life might be rough for Ronnie, she still did not give up. The theme of this book is even though life gets hard, do not give up, it will get better sooner or later. The style of this book is narration. The Last Song is a narration because the event...more
In the last song, the author gets through to people about a death in a family is very tragic but the things people go through and discover what they're capable of is great afterwards. Ronnie for example after her fathers death went on to college and she did end up with Wil. Her father was a singer/song writer, Ronnie used to play the piano, she learned from her dad and her dad would always go to church with her while she played for the people in the church. Ronnie and her dad were once very clos...more
I did not find it very fun reading the book after watching the movie, but i was interested in some of the differences of the movie and the books. I think you notice more the things that were left out after watching the movie first. The story itself is really good. I like that in the book i don't picture Miley Cyrus, I dont dig her. The book is basically of this girl that goes to her dads and she just totally hates it there. While she is there she meets a guy (Marcus) and falls head over heels fo...more
This novel is by my favorite author and I loved this book. The main character Ronnie Miller’s which is more of a boy type of girl. She is also a punk. This story is very sad when it gets to the end and also at the beginning because Ronnie and her little brother Johhna live with her mom because there parents are divorced. In the summer Ronnie's mom takes them with her dad. When they get there Johnna was very happy and excited. Ronnie on the other side was mad because she didn't want to be there....more

After his daughter finds out that he had become terribly sick over the summer and did not tell anyone, she becomes worried and terrifed over the whole thing. But along the way she finds who she thinks is the love of her life and is also trying to balance there r...more

Its just overall such a sweet book that you cant help but love it. It was simple, albeit a bit boring and the fact that i saw the whole thing coming but i still totally bawled, really. its just one of those books that's simple plot of first loves and second chances and a beautiful father-daughter relationship makes you really, really appreciate it.
Also, i absolutely loved the fact that all the characters were so passionate (i even loved Marcus, the hopeless attempt at a bad guy) and they all ha...more

Do you like romance? Or maybe even a little bit of adventure to go with it? Nicholas Sparks's book "The Last Song" fits those interests perfectly. This story keeps your interest very well because it always has another question pop into your head or conflict that has an unpredictable ending.
The main character, Ronnie, just turned 17. She has long, curly, dark brown hair with one purple streak in it. Ronnie is kind of a trouble maker and likes to do things her way. She lives with her little brot...more

I liked this book. Once I started to read this I could not put it down. I loved this book so much. When i wasn't reading this book, i was either telling people about this book or still seeing what i just read in my mind. This has to be one of the only books that i have read over and over just because i like the romance and drama in this book. One of my all time favorites
