The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief
by
Gregg Braden
Between 1993 and 2000, a series of groundbreaking experiments revealed dramatic evidence of a web of energy that connects everything in our lives and our world—the Divine Matrix. From the healing of our bodies, to the success of our careers, relationships, and the peace between nations, this new evidence demonstrates that we each hold the power to speak directly to the for...more

A great piece of work on the frontier of science and spirituality, which a clear bias for action – hence it is one of my favourites.
The book explains the belief in, and the scientific basis of 20 keys of conscious creation, which the author offers as our ‘code for change’. The keys thus constitute the software which, when acting through the Operating system of our consciousness, can change the hardware (Reality) of our existence:
Key 1: The Divine Matrix is the container that holds the universe,...more

I feel a bit wishy-washy about this book. I generally like books that begin to build a bridge between quantum mechanics and consciousness (or science and spirituality). This book is a great jumping off point for researching experiments already exploring this link. However, there's a thick layer cheesiness that kept oozing through many of the pages. For instance, the author comes across the stereotypical elderly (and perhaps magical?) Native American man who shares the deep wisdom of his people....more

Tak jakoś niezbyt wiele mam do powiedzenia na temat tej książki. This is a very well-written book about some of the discoveries in modern quantum physics and how this relates to some of the old believes that different religions have had for several millenniums. It's about how everything is connected through what in this book is presented as the divine matrix and it's about how we are participants of the univers and not just observing it in a separated way. Everything is reflected in everything - it's the principle of a holographic univers where everything is...more
In this exciting book, Gregg Braden discusses the field of energy providing the container "for everything that happens between the world within us and the one outside our bodies".
Braden compares the divine matrix to the software that runs a computer. But our "software" is our feelings and we can use our feelings, the language of emotion, to create our reality.
One of his "keys" (of which he has 20) is that we are always connected to each other, the individual also always being connected to his/he...more

This is another book that I read with a group, we would read a chapter a week and then meet to discuss the chapter. It was a interesting way of reading this book. In the group it really became clear that some found the limits of their own Beliefs.
I found it very informative and in some ways even exciting. It really explains how we are all connected to each other and to everything else. With what I term 'new science' this is a must read, just be ready for your Beliefs to be stretched and beyond....more

This book was outstanding! It is absolutely a must read, and I have been telling my friends to read it! I have gone on a Gregg Braden reading spree! If you haven't read his books, I suggest reading this one first. He presents a mix of science and spirituality in a way which is easily understood by the general public. You don't need a degree to understand the science parts. Personally, I happen to love both, and was up to date on most of the science he wrote about.

I devoured this book! My mind and heart was ready to hear this message and I believe that the author spoke loud and clear to my soul.
What a deeply meaningful book. From scientific theories, myths, scriptures, ancient writings, etc. there is much for us to learn. I have read many of the books that Mr Braden mentioned and thoroughly enjoyed his presentation of experiments and stories. They were well organized and the book moved me to a deeper place with each chapter.

I really wanted this book to be better. Despite fundamentally agreeing with most of the author's conclusions, I found that Braden's arguments for his conclusions often led me to take a position opposite from my beliefs. The book significantly underwhelmed me. For someone who has no exposure to the quantum science that's led to possibility of scientific explanation for the miraculous, there's some value as an introduction. Braden does do a good job of explaining the importance of emotion in the w...more
It was a very thought provoking book. He explains how we are all connected throug the divine matrix, and to pray you need to evoke the feeling not words. I agreed with parts of the book, and am sceptical about other ideas, his idea that "if you ask for something in prayer you are acknowlding it doesn't exist therefor you negate the possibilty of receiving it." I don't agree if I do not have something then it doesn't exist for me...

Braden explores the universe's matrix - where all things begin, the place of pure energy that simply is. There is a tremendous amount of food for thought. He quotes Einstein's statement that 'we can't solve a problem while we're in the same level of thinking that created it'. I loved his last key 'We must become in our lives the very things that we choose to experience in our lives'. He addresses the true nature of our being in our emotions. Great read!
So far so good. I am midway into it but it is so awesome. The idea of creating our own world and acknowledging our power over it, responsibly and lovingly, is the best news we can have. It brings new perspective to the idea of free will. It is a great follow up to The Holographic Universe and even better to ACIM which I finished several years ago,not that one truly "finishes" ACIM. It is, after all, a course. :)
Braden looks at the implications of research in science, especially quantum physics, for how we view the world and our role in it. He combines summaries of research experiments with spiritual texts and personal experience to suggest that we have a far greater ability to shape our own reality than has been generally accepted in the past. A solid contribution to this growing manifestation/new world view category of nonfiction.
In the genre of books about the nature of reality, this one mainly draws from scientific experiments. Interesting experiments on DNA and comments about the "hologram" nature of the whole universe. However, I found his grasp on science to be limited. The explanations of the experiments would by no means satisfy a scientific reader and are clearly aimed at the lay person. Thus, the conclusions and generalizations are a little fuzzy. He says that an observer can affect events in the past, which may...more
I enjoyed this book very much it's about combining spiritual beliefs with science, specifically Buddhism and quantum physics. Interesting field of scientific research and the author explains the quantum theories in a way the ordinary reader is able to understand. Also explains his beliefs about the spiritual world in 20 key points that he refers to as 20 keys of conscious creation.
The description begins with "Between 1993 and 2000, a series of groundbreaking experiments revealed dramatic evidence of a web of energy that connects everything..."
My main question that came up as I saw this book in a booklist on Goodreads:
Were these "experiements" performed with reliable scientific methods?

Quantum theory meets neurology meets faith. Logical yet mind blowing. Now need to read more about this - have limited scientific background. Have a few books in mind - 'Biology of Belief' by Bruce Lipton, 'Buddhas's Brain' by Rick Hanson and with the new insight from 'The Divine Matrix' I want to re-read C S Lewis' 'Miracles'.
Insulting to the reader's intelligence, Braden makes sweeping statements with little to no legitimate research and applies half-truths and innuendo as if carved in stone. For a full review:

There is a lot of thought-provoking material here. The author mentions, among others, the scientific case for a holographic universe, which is a particular favorite theory of mine, but later in the book goes too far into left field for my liking when he goes on about everything in our lives from relationships to our pets being mirrors. A little spiritual conjecture is fine, but delving too far makes this book come across as flakey. Even so, I found this title a worthy read.

This is a MIND expanding book! At times, it's a tough read because the concepts of the Divine Matrix are complex -- take the theory of relativity and mix in a dash of string theory and top it off with quantum theory and holograms, and you'll get the idea that the world we take for granted is much more than just a walk down familiar streets in our neighborhood. The exciting thing about this book is to realize just how each one of us can affect the world by our thoughts and actions. It isn't ALL h...more
