"Overall, I found many positive things in the book. Nevertheless, I also have many criticisms, most of which are ironically tied to the compliments. The problem is that, in my opinion, Cahill doesn't have a complete enough view of evangelism, and he breezes over the most important points he makes in the book. My biggest compliment is that the book is inspiring." My primary criticism is that "I believe that Cahill repeatedly projects his own passions and talents onto everything and everyone. He m...more
I listened to the audio book read by the author. The one thing you can't do in heaven is to witness to nonbelievers. This book relates experiences of the author witnessing of Christ in a wide variety of circumstances. It is also a call for all believers in Christ to witness of him. It exams different approaches and techniques to communicate the message. Evangelical. Interesting, forceful and confronting. Author challenges all to follow suit. When he talked about scientific matters I found him na...more
I think the most helpful and inspiring part of this book was the impact that the title itself had on me. Of course, "the one thing you can't do in heaven" is to evangelize, and it was good to be reminded of this.
The book itself was full of urgent exhortations from the author Mark Cahill to evangelize as many people as possible as regularly as possible. The book was also full of stories from the author's life of his own experiences with evangelism. The author, as depicted in his accounts, displa...more

Thought-provoking, practical, and helpful. A bit individualistic, without much connection with the local church's/Christian community role in sharing the good news. However, does emphasize sharing the gospel out of a spirit and dialogue of humility and love, not out of a spirit of condemnation of those with different world views.

Evident in the title alone, Cahill's premise that we will not be engaging in evangelism in heaven, and thus ought to be busy about doing so here on earth, is great. If you got that, then I am not sure I would put any more time into this book. I must admit that Cahill's recent assertion (that I and all other Calvinists worship "another God" and "another Jesus" re: Gal 1) made it difficult to read this book from an unbiased perspective. That being said, Cahill's recent clarification concerning his...more

I highly disagreed with Cahill's approach and think it is actually dangerous. Evangelism is surely necessary, but we must share out of love for the Lord, not merely duty. Cahill mixes those.

I do appreciate his heart for evangelism even though I don't agree with all of his methods. It will at least inspire you to have a heart for evangelism.

I enjoyed this book. This guy's a major zealot for Christianity, and witnesses to anyone and everyone he meets. He contends that once you know God's truth, if you aren't working relentlessly to save other souls, then you are sinning. I know that sounds kind of harsh, but there is some truth to it. He outlines his message to help others learn to witness. It's very helpful.
What's the one thing you can't do in heaven? Share your faith with non-believers.

I think this a great book full of good ideas and advice.
This guy practices a very upfront form of sharing His faith. It is extremely challenging. The stories are refreshing and sometimes inspiring. The evangelism-help is very practical, without being rote or based around one mechanical method. But the tone of the book makes it easy to walk away hating yourself if you can't manage to share your faith as prolifically as the author. It's a good and handy read, but learn to relax and remember that there is more to sharing your faith than confrontational...more
This book is a real eye opener to our true purpose on earth as Christians. It encourages us as Christians to witness to the lost, which fulfills our purpose as Christians and pleases God. It's not only encouraging, but gives so much instruction on how to go about starting up conversations and so much more in order to plant a seed or lead people to Christ. I hope to not only learn from this book, but to apply it to my life by truly being a witness every day and pleasing God's design for us.
A wonderful Christian author. This book was given to me by my dentist! That's right, my dentist who does excellent dental work is also a Christian who knows this author and shares his books with people and patients who are interested. He just picks up a trunk full of Cahill's books and sends a donation. Then he generously offers them to anyone interested. Amazing!
The author has a heart for the lost that I admire. He lays out all of the questions in the book and the thing I like the most is that he backs it with Scriptures. Although I didn't agree with all of it, he gives the reader tons of ways to talk to people about the gospel. Good book for people seeking a way to share Christ with lost people.
