More often than not, a big book on music excels at one of two things – photography or text – but almost never both at once. “Music” by photographer Andrew Zuckerman (Abrams) is the exception. A beautiful combination of portrait photography and music - a 'should read' for anyone who enjoys either. A 'must read' for anyone who enjoys both. Candid and refreshing, an impressive gathering of musicians from all genres, walks of life, and levels of success. There hasn't been a single person that has walked into my living room that didn't pick this up and thumb through it, asking a million questions.
My family got this for me for Christmas because they know I am a big Joe Jackson fan. The photos and interviews are candid and told me lots of new things about many artists that I'm interested in.
