The house has been turned upside down! There's paint on the walls, tire tracks on the carpet, and peas all over the floor.

But who's been making so much mess?

Can you guess?

Messes and small children go together in this book. Someone has been making a series of messes, but when each child is asked, they reply with a merry “Not me!” Readers will immediately know the truth though, because the clues are there to tie that mischievous child to the mess that surrounds them. Add in one small dog, and the messiness is complete until it’s time to clean up…

A book with only a few words per page that focus more on the visual cues than on the words themselves. The text asks who...more

Who made the mess, dropped the peas, created the tracks in the house, and painted the walls with their hands? Not ME said the children! But, who is going to clean it all up?
Cute illustrations, great book to share with a little one to encourage a discussion about taking responsibility.

What a darling book to read aloud to very young toddlers. There's a household mess on each page and who has made the mess? Not me! Are you sure? Take a look at each child at the end of the book and I bet you can guess. But, who's going to clean the messes?

Of course, none of five children know anything about the messes in the house. And when it times to clean it up, the dog certainly isn't going to help.

Very cute, simple text. Great for a quick, silly story.

5 children and a dog make a mess of the house with bicycle tyre tracks, spilt peas, hand prints, and rain puddles. No one wants to admit to making the mess, and the dog doesn't want to clean it up.

Why would a picture book geared toward small children use cursive? Granted, most readers will hear this story read aloud. It still bothers me.( I think I've read too many picture books this week.)
Jen
reader participation with "not me" at the beginning of many pages.
cute illustrations (they are messy!)
It would be a quick one for storytime.

tTire tracks, finger prints on the walls and peas on the floor, oh my! Five rambunctious toddlers deny making a huge mess in the house.
Beverly
Sweet, adorable pictures and a simple, basic text; suitable for story time
