About 3.5 stars for me.

If you like erotica, there's a hell of a lot of it in this book. It's pretty slap-your-momma-in-the-face explicit. Ethan and Rhett are exes living in the same house due to the housing market. In order to put equity into their house faster so that they can sell sooner and get away from each other, they take on a roommate. A very hot, sexy roommate named Kieran.

This book definitely skirted the limits of my comfort zone. I discovered recently that my comfort zone is not defi

4.5 rounded up. I respect anybody's right to rate as they feel fit because all opinions are personal so I understand the reviewer who gave this a low rating on another site didn't like it - each to their own , but I do think this deserves a far higher rating than 1*. Yes it does have a lot of steamy sex scenes, it contains menage so its not gong to be tame, but then again no more than the usual m/m fiction and like all L A Witt stories is well written with humour, great sexual chemistry between ...more
Decent m/m romance that, unfortunately, drove me completely nuts more than once or twice, or I would've rated it higher. It's about two guys who have been together for ten years and finally broke up recently. However, they're still living together because of the housing market - they can't afford to sell their house and they can't afford to pay rent somewhere else and pay the mortgage on the house. They get a very hot roommate and then both get sexually involved with him. I wanted to slap the tw ...more

This was a good story for me for many different reason. The main point was, for sure, that it showed a most than comment event, when two people are still in love but due to their incapacity to talk are drifting apart till the point of breaking up.

Ethan and Rhett were probably the perfect couple of a romance novel, 10 years ago. Rhett was a bisexual man, divorced with a daughter, and he fell in love with Ethan, two years older; when they went to live together, Rhett’s daughter was eight years ol

I was looking for a menage book and helloooooo - "The Distance Between Us" DEFINITELY fit the bill.

This one started out a little rough for me, though. Rough enough to threaten my kindle's life with a good beating against the wall. It's difficult to read about a former couple using the new guy to one up each other. I suppose I'm used to reading menage when all participants are willing and on good terms with each other but ughhhh I was getting a bit pissy at only 10%. That's what guys do

Tell me why I really really didn't like Ethan when this book started?! My thinking is that because Rhett was the one telling the story. Had Ethan been telling the story, I probably would of disliked him. Kieran total 'Wilde' self proclaimed manwhore. *fanning self* There wasn't a huge plot line in this book it was more that these guys were pushing/pulling apart and they needed the kick in the ass to see that things weren't over just yet. I knew this book was a menage but the more I read I had th ...more
I spent most of the book wanting to slap the two main heroes. Either that or tie them to a chair place them on opposite sides and force them to TALK TO EACH OTHER!!

Sex was hot though, and well written, and I liked the way much of the development which takes place between the three men happens during sex - but would have preferred if they had then discussed their problems after all the lust had died down instead of resorting to angry silence like a bunch of emo teens. Didn't care too much for the

Rhett Solomon and Ethan Mallory have recently ended their 10-year relationship, yet they are stuck living together until they are able to unload their house. They decide to take in a roommate in hopes that the extra income will allow them to separate sooner. Yet neither of them are quite expecting the gorgeous, green-eyed Kieran Frost to walk through their door.

Both Rhett and Ethan are immediate

A very interesting take on a ménage story!

Rhett and Ethan have been together for a long time - but that time seems to have run out. The intimacy has vanished, the love is long gone and what's left is a house they cannot sell and a resulting forced roommate-relationship. Then Kieran Frost, gorgeous bartender and new roommate comes into play. Kieran is too hot to resist and he LOVES sex, as both, Rhett and Ethan, learn very soon. With Kieran in the middle, they both come closer to each other t

I'm giving this book 3 stars instead of 2 because the sex was so hot. I had a lot of problems with this story. The fact that a couple who'd been together over 10 years broke up because they needed to communicate and didn't is so irritating! Ugh! And if I had to hear about that piercing one more time! Ugh. "I rattled my piercing against my teeth" "I pushed my piercing against the roof of my mouth" was sexy for the sex scenes and I appreciate that kind of detail, but I was beat over the head ...more
The basic premise of the story is good: a couple calling it quits, after 10 years, because of communication issues. Very well handled by the author, shown rather than told, which is pretty difficult when the story is narrated in first person by one of the main characters. A third man comes into the picture, again for believable reasons, and becomes the catalyst for the barriers to come down and the communication to happen. Brilliant parallel, about the Space Needle view from the balcony, on taki ...more
Just finished this story and I actually really liked it. I know a lot of readers thought the sex-story-ratio was off but I think that might have been the point. With the story being written in Rhett's POV it kind of couldn't have been written any other way. It definitely made you lost and confused about Ethan but again I think that was the point, we don't know what's going on with him, trying to figuring out what was in Ethan's head was what made this story different and interesting for me, not ...more

I've been meaning to read this book for a while. I'm glad that I finally got around to it. It was an engaging read.

The story was original, sweet and full of angst. The sex scenes between these hot men were sizzling. The secondary characters were also interesting.

So why a 4 and not a 5? There was a little too much sex. I know. I know. If one has to bitch about SOMETHING let it be TOO much sex. High class problem, right? Anyway, even though the scenes were VERY hot, I found myself skimming through
I loved this. The MC were so far away from eachother (not literally) in the beginning. Kieran comes along and kinda opens the closed avenues between them. It made me believe in love. Oh, it was also hot hot hot! :D
Solid writing and a good, compelling story, but I would have liked a bit more characterization. Hot sex doesn't make up for interchangeable personalities.

Rhett and Ethan have been together for 10 years, but recently broke up. They can´t sell their house though and are living together for the time being. They have a very hard time getting along and can´t wait until they can really split To help with their expenses they look for a housemate. Enter Kieran.
Both Rhett and Ethan are instantly attracted to Kieran and Kieran has no problem responding to that attraction. From either of the men. Can Kieran help them see how they really feel about
Rhett and Ethan have grown apart over the last ten years are separating. Unfortunately circumstances mean they must continue to share the house they own and take in a roommate to speed up the house repayments. The sooner they can gain more equity in the house, the sooner they can sell and get on with their lives.

Despite Ethan's declaration that he couldn't stand the sight of Ethan, and both of them agreeing that the sooner they were able to get out of each's way the better, it is obvious there i

Rhett Solomon and Ethan Mallory are two former lovers who now, due to the bad economy and housing situation, have to continue to live together even though they'd just ended their 10-year relationship. The two men can barely stand the sight of each other, but agree to remain in the house until they can build enough equity to sell it at a decent price. In an effort to speed up the process, they rent a room to bartender, Kieran Frost. Both Ethan and Rhett are instantly attracted to their n

A 2.5 for me rounded up to 3 based on the engaging writing style.

I'm really conflicted about this story. I usually really like LA Witt's writing - and I have no quibble with the writing here actually. My issues are with the characters. I guess the first thing I felt like I was missing was why Ethan and Rhett had decided to call it quits after 10 years. That's never really covered very well and I think it would help me relate better to the characters if I had more information. Having called it q
An unusual threesome. I liked that the participants for once weren't all flowers and pancakes over being together as three. This was about being ripped apart and finding back together. After being together Ethan and Rhett drift apart like it happens to everyone, over mundane things and misunderstandings. The unusual part is that they're stuck together by a house neither of them can afford of himself, a house which won't sell due to low markets. They rent out a room to help paying the mortgage. This is the first M/M/M my stomach could tolerate. YES THIS STORY IS DONE WELL! I found the storyline to be M/M with a fix-us M...the smexy scenes, were off the may find the need for a BUCKET OF ICE WATER! The story is given in Rhett's POV... This was confusing to me, I had to go back to the beginning twice before it sunk in. Let me introduce you to the MC- Rhett' was sweet and clueless. Very small plot, very little chemistry and yet a ton of sex. So yes, it was lacking. There was a bit of chemistry between Evan and Rhett but very little between Kieran and either of the other two. It made the plot and the chemistry fall short. ...more
This was a very interesting plot. Two ex-boyfriends living together and both starting something with the new roommate. There were a few times where I got a little confused with where the feelings where going, but I think it was supposed to be like that because the character was confused. I was pleased with the ending, but would have liked them to be a permanent memage. It was left slightly open, so maybe there will be a second book to show that.

Angsty read about a long term couple who have broken up but are forced to remain living together. They decide to get a roommate to help get them out of their mortgage faster. The hot roommate helps them both realize, following a lot of misunderstandings and angst, that they are both still in love with each other and don't want to separate. You want to yell at both the MCs to just talk to each other because it's clear they are both in love, but that's where the angst comes in. Lots of hot loving ...more

I just adored this book!! Often when there is too much sex in a book I find myself skim reading quite a bit of it; but, this book has A LOT of sex - and I just found it all worked beautifully with the story. Did I feel bad for Kieran? Not really. He was up for it, and except for that one session - he was more than happy with the outcome. In saying that, I am looking forward to his own story.

What I wouldn't give for a prequel to this - I want to know how Ethan and Rhett first met.

2.75 - This book had good intentions and I think with a bit more, would have been outstanding. I love L.A. Witt's writing, but this one had more sex than story and the story was good! Chris's review says most everything that I would: here.

I cannot believe I am about to say this but, less sex, more dialog.
3.5 stars

I would have enjoyed this book a lot more if Ethan and Rhett's feelings were explored more deeply. As is, I felt the threesome aspect overtook the plot, making the overall emotional impact less significant. In general, I don't read menage because it's just not my cuppa - I read this one because I trust LA Witt. Overall, an okay read.
Ethan and Rhett are stuck together in their house after they broke up due to the bad market situation. The story is told from the POV of Rhett, who is clearly not over the relationship, but Ethan seemed to have moved on. They are just waiting to leave each other lives. Kieran enters their life, to make it financially easier. Kieran is attractive and interested in both men, just as they happen to be interested in him too. It is about sex, so what could go wrong, right?
