This is my favorite poem.

Margarita, is beautiful the sea,
and the wind
brings subtle essence of orange blossom;
I feel
in my heart a skylark sing;
your accent.
Margarita, I am going to tell you
a story.

This edition was bought not long ago, and I keep a very special memory of it. While living in Villahermosa I was adept to visit the library on Saturday afternoon and once I found it in the children's section. The illustrations were beautiful.

Only managed to make copies of the book as a memory of it...more

I boughtthis book in the Children's Museum in Caracas back in the early 80's just for the illustrations. It is gorgeous, one of my little treasures. And it still has the charm to enchant children who visit me.
