I of course love school stories, and I loved the school aspects of this book. I didn't like the over the top focus on religion, but you get that with Victory Press books. I only noted the fact that it was a school story and nothing more when I picked this book up this morning, and I was stuck waiting in a car while my partner ratted through a scrapyard (something that can take quite a while, it seems!) It was an absorbing book, but a little over the top. Three stars suffice I think.
Through loving Christian leadership, Wendy convinces many of her classmates to become believers. Only mean Mollie is unredeemable. The heavy handed treatment of religion dampens the otherwise light story. I'm guessing this book was created to be a Sunday School award.
