Fighting Fisi is a picture book that deals with the problem of bullying in schools. Although written in English, the book also uses some Swahili words and has an English/Swahili Dictionary at the back. There are also discussion questions and information for parents on conflict resolution.

Won this this month! Looking forward to reading.

I finally got this in the mail! This is an independently published book so not sure how I should review it. Overall I think it is a pretty good book. I would use it for a Bully Unit and for an African Unit.

Things I liked:
-Pictures are hand drawn and colored in with markers to make it look like it was made by a child (not sure if they were but liked that it looked like it).

-That african words are used through out the story. Some words can be inferre

A great way to introduce the topic of bullies to young children, and expose them to different cultures.
