I ordered this book for my library because I have a group of girls who are just in junior high. Junior high was when I started having my body issues and I wanted to have something on the shelves with both information and a positive message. I wanted to read it really just to see what it was about.

It was alright. I think that I would feel okay giving it to my junior high girls. There are a lot of facts and personal stories here that are aimed at making girls feel a little less alone. It reads eas

This book was an amazing book that teaches you to love your body inside and out. It told me information about anorexia, bulimia, and the risks of taking diet pills. It also told me about Katherine Schwarzenegger's life during her "puberty" years. And believe it or not.... she was bullied to just like all of us. It showed me that I'm not alone, but that I am among the many teen age girls today who experience bullying. So 5 stars for this book and go buy it!!! It will be worth the $22 that I paid ...more

This is a great book for teenage girls to read about self image and building self esteem. I would recommend it to every young girl I know if it weren't for the section on birth control. I have no idea why it is in there. I felt that it was out of place and didn't coincide with my feelings on the subject. It's regrettable that it was included in this otherwise sweet book.

This book was a bit thin. The overall message is a positive one, trying to help teen girls improve their self-esteem, and she walks the line between saying accept your body the way it is while still recommending a healthy life style, including eating well, reasonable exercise, etc. I read this to decide whether to give it to my own teen daughter.

This is a must-read for all females- adolescent and above! Very inspirational. Makes you work your brain to have a positive body image- and clues you in if you have a negative body image (and maybe are not even aware)! LOVED IT.

This is a great book for teen and pre -teen girls (and their moms!) to read. Upbeat, realistic and postive.
