This book is the best of the 3 I've read. Now that the characters and clan rivalries are established, the action moves along at a faster pace. I started this book feeling glad that this was the last I had committed to read, but ended the book wondering how some of the conflicts will be resolved. I may read on! Warning to sensitive children and parents: this book becomes much more intense and has more paganistic spiritual elements in it. I would recommend that parents preread the books befo...more

Warriors Forest of Secrets
This was my favorite book of the first series.
I really enjoyed this book because of all the characters and the plot. I love the way Fireheart does what he thinks is right even when know one believes him. I can't believe even his best friend didn't believe him!
I think this book was really well written just like all of the other books in this series.
I also liked the fact that Firestar get's in trouble to help the other clans.

I think I have read this book once before, and this may have skewed my overall liking of this book. While I do enjoy Hunter's writing style (descriptive, sometimes richly), I didn't necessarily go head over heals for the plot. A lot of actions and end results were very predictable. I hate it when that happens.
Otherwise, the story was great, although I'm not sure if I would ever read it again.

I really liked this book. The whole series is enjoyable. i realize the books are written for children, but it's so funny to see the cats behaving in such cat-like ways in certain areas, while other areas seem just pushed to the side, and the cats are expected to behave like humans instead.
I read most of these books in about a week. I recommend them.

My kids (7 year old girl and 9 year old boy) have enjoyed this series so far. I found this one a bit predictable--mystery is probably not Hunter's best genera, as only an idiot (or a 7 & 9 year old) couldn't see where things were going....still, a good family read in our household (also still violent, scary, and sad).

My daughter loves this series. We've started reading these together at night before bed when she was in the 2nd grade, but by 3rd she was reading them on her own. Its a great series for both girls and boys. The kids are often playing the characters and acting out the stories at recess.

This was a less action-e book. It was still good. This was, as it describes, a book about secrets in the clans, especially in ThunderClan. There is still tension, just not among the other clans. It started to bore me after a while.

I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about these books. I'm curious and interested enough to read them since they are right here on the shelf. But I wouldn't necessarily add them to my own collection.

Tigerstar is getting powerful, but he has a secret that Redfern has not killed Oakheart. Can Fireheart discover, accept, and tell the truth?
I loved this book because it had constant action.

These are great books. They are really addicteive to read. THey are however, a bit repetitive and frustrating for that. You want them to just get rid of certain cats and get rid of their clan prides.

I think this is rpobably the best book in the series, besides the sixth, because it's such a page-turner! I always hated Tigerclaw, but you'll expecially despise him after reading this!

If I remember correctly, this book was one of slower ones, but a lot happens and it sets the stage for the others, which quickly pick up the pace.
