Another great Warrior's book. :-) I just love reading about the clan cats. I recommend these books to anyone who loves cats, animals or if you just like reading about adventure, these are the books for you. But make sure you start with this series or you will be out of order. :-)

Warriors: Forest of Secrets Book Review
By Brayden Wallace

I really think that this is one of my favorite books because it is filled with action, adventure, and suspense. It is sure to please anybody who really likes suspenseful, action-packed books. It is about four clans of cats, ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShadowClan, that live in the forest and have to hunt for their food and if one of their clanmates is injured, the medicine cat has to treat them with herbs. Each clan has a leader...more

The series is definitely getting more interesting at this point, All of my previous complaints regarding the other books in the series remain relevant, but this one book did manage to throw a curve ball at me, and that's good. I'm also noticing the writing style if not improving precisely, at least shifting to being less annoying. There are more varied sentence structures in this book than in the previous two, and a wider choice of adjectives is used, but I really still feel the author could ben...more

The third Warriors book picks up exactly where the last book left off. A good thing too, as the last book had a sudden ending. This book felt as though it tied up a lot of loose ends. Since the final battle of book 2 Fireheart's suspicions about Tigerclaw continue to grow. He is still at odds with his best friend Graystripe over Graystripe's relationship with another clan member. The great thing about Forest of Secrets is that it plays out as a mystery. Fireheart takes the role of a detective as...more

With the exception of a mysterious, promising prologue, Forest of Secrets gets off to a slow start. Fireheart confirms details about the day Tigerclaw killed Redtail, but it's difficult for a reader already convinced of his treachery to stay interested. Meanwhile, Fireheart's nephew's disrespect of authority begins to grind, and when Fireheart and Graystripe break the warrior code on a mission of mercy, there's less excitement than frustrated knowledge that things can't end well.

Despite this, I...more

I liked this book. I think it sent out a really impotant lesson.

This book is about cats, loyalty, and betrayal.

Fireheart(main character)thinks that Tigerclaw(traitor) is going to betray the whole clan. And he was right. Since Tigerclaw is deputy nobody really believes Fireheart when he tells the clan, so it's kind of hard to convince anyone.

I think that happens so many times in the world that we live in today. People like cops, preachers, policemen, get away the worst crimes because they have th...more

This is the third book in the Warriors series. It appears to be the first series of many about wild cats. With more than 300 pages, this is a great book for children to start expanding their reading comprehension abilities and challenging themselves with longer books.

I love books that get our girls excited to read and this series did that for our youngest. She is in love with this series! I like to read whatever they are reading, so we can chat about the stories and discuss the characters and p...more

This series is the Harry Potter of cat books. I started reading these almost as a joke, but soon I was completely invested in this world. These cats were brought to life with personalities more vibrant and complex than many human characters. These stories are full of danger, friendship, forbidden love, betrayal, and self-discovery and it is all surprisingly believable for talking cats. I had physical reactions - crying, laughing, tightening in my chest - to this series. I would highly recommend...more

In this book Fireheart learns alot of secrets. He learns many things about all clans. He learns alot about his leader and aspetialy Tigerclaw. Fireheart also finds out about his friend and his friends love with the riverclan she cat Silverstream. Firestar gets the right information to prove that Tigerclaw is guilty. It is a very intence book in the warriors series. I wont forget about all the battles in this book.

I can make a text to self connection to parts of this book. I use to have 2 cats...more

At first this book repeated to much of what had happened in previous books and sometimes I found myself skipping some paragraphs here and there because I didn't need to re-read what I already knew. Granted this was probably put in for people who didn't start off at books #1...Still, through out the book there was constant reminders of certain events whenever Fireheart talked to "so and so" (not going to say who). Sure a few reminders as it could be flooding through is head but maybe word it a li...more

I loved the drama and all the secrets involved.
The detail and description was amazing.

In this book I believe that Graystripe finds a mate in another clan, which brings great drama to the story and Fireheart starts to doubt Graystripes loyalty. Other then that, Tigerclaw is on to Fireheart and is starting to worry about them being a problem to his master-mind plan!

I loved this book, it was truely touching and almost all about friendship. In this book you could truely feel the evil Tigerclaw, yet you don't really know if he's evil. Also in this book Fireheart realises his relations...more

I found this book in a charity booksale at work - I had never heard of the series or the author before but upon reading the back and discovering it seemed to contain several catfights I snapped it up (only later realising it was the 3rd book of a series....).

After spending hours laughing about the concept of "medicine cats" and wishing that ours would learn a few tricks to save on the vets bills - I actually READ the book - and I'm now completely hooked on the series (as a 31 year old with no ch...more

Very good as usual. The story involves you in this complex cat society and brings in themes of religion, prejudice, loyalty, etc. It is getting a little hard to keep all the characters straight now, there are so many. The hierarchical naming conventions are useful- all youngsters are '____kit', apprentice level becomes '___paw ' , warriors get a descriptive name, while the leaders are '___star'. The cats are never overly humanized; they remain cat-like. Excellent world-building here right down...more

Forest Of Secrets by Erin Hunter is the 3rd book in the Warriors series. Firehearst's suspition of Tigerclaw grows. So does Bluestar's doubts of his stories. As well as his loyalty towards the Clan. What will happen to Tigerclaw? Will the Clan need a new deputy?

My connection to this book is with Fireheart. I hate when people don't believe things that you say from your heart and mean it all. Like when Fireheart tells Bluestar about Tigerclaw, she just shrugs it away. He is getting more and more u...more

I am kinda sorta loving this series actually.

I mean, yes, it's written with a young audience in mind. Like young, young, like maybe somewhere between fourth and eighth grade. And it's about cats. I know, right, cats. Of the house variety, except rogue house cats who actually live in the forest and have a structured society with societal values and expectations, and the stories deal with the complexities of social expectations, emotions, relationships, and, of course politics, and how gray 'the r...more

** "Forest of Secrets", book three, discloses secret parentages between the Warrior cat clans. The novelty wears thin, and revelations drag. Our hero, Fireheart, replaces deputy Tigerclaw, revealed as traitor who led rogues to try to murder leader Bluestar, secret mother to two River warriors. Medicine cat Yellowfang secretly murders her secret son, blinded ex-chief Brokentail, then promotes lame Cinderpaw to healer. Fireheart's best friend from childhood, Graystripe, takes his kits back to thei...more

In this book Fireheart learns a lot of secrets about tigerclaw. He caught tigerclaw trying to kill Bluestar and also learn that he was the one who killed the ex deputy to gain more power. It is a very strong hold in a book and its very good , so good that i didn't want to let it go. Tigerclaw was driven out of the clan.

I can make a text to self reflection because one time my friend now my enemy was planning to do something bad and make me go low and make me a failure and i blew his plan when i t...more
