The first book dealt with the youngest sister Alessandra aka Allie who falls in love with the illegitimate half brother of the Bennett brothers Liam and Seth aka next door neighbors, aka "not so silent" partners in Tante Baci Winery and aka arch rivals of the Baci Sisters. This book tells the story of the middle sister Stephania aka Stevie. She falls in love with the brother of her ex-boyfriends fiance' but more about that later. The next and third book is about Giulianna aka Jules who is the oldest Baci and at some point she and Liam (the oldest Bennett) had a relationship it seems based on their interactions they still have feelings for each other but hers usually involve hostility. Another character that is mentioned fairly often is an illegitimate Bennett Sister whose name we don't know. My hope is that at some point we will see Seth's story and her story possibly as a secondary story in the next one. Stevie's ex and Jack's sister is a secondary story in this one so I figure its possible that Seth and ? could have a secondary in the next one. Course its not my decision.

As for the primary story everyone treats Stevie who is more or less a Tomboy with lots of sympathy because of her breakup with Emerson. They think Stevie still has feelings for him which is not true, yes it hurt what he said when he broke up with her but she's over him. Stevie is considered to be one of the boys. She can do mechanical work on cars, and plays poker weekly with Liam, Seth, Bob and a few others whose names I can't think of at this time. Sometimes the guys seem to forget she's not a guy and usually that ok by her but sometimes it bothers her. Anyway, some people think she's tough others think she's fragile but no one seems to understand her until Jack and he definitely sees her feminine side. The first time she seems him she has no idea who he is but eventually learns and he lets her know in no uncertain terms that he's going to be anywhere she is when she is doing anything with his sister (Roxanne aka Roxy) and Emerson. Not only is she chauffeuring them around time at various times she's also in charge of planning their wedding which will be at the winery. Normally Allie would handle the Wedding Coordinator duties but she's recovering in Malibu from surgery for a broken leg or was it foot, anyway for those who have read Christie Ridgeway's Knitting Series (not sure of the exact name, I haven't read it but have read about it on her website) there is a reference to the Knitting shop featured in it. Allie hobbles into to the Malibu & Ewe one day and has now taken up knitting, she was bored (no bad refection on knitting intended). As she and Jack spend time together he seems to notice things that other guys have forgotten to see about her and he listens. They seem to have a sense of what the other needs and from the beginning there is an attraction that both try to deny but can't fight. Of course they get their HEA so do Roxy and Emerson who with the help of Jack and Stevie learn a few things about themselves and are able to only heal from the past (mostly Roxy in this case) but put on their big person clothes and state what they believe is right for them.

This is definitely a page turner and I look forward to the next book in the series. According to the Teaser Chapter at the back of this book Drunk on Love will be out in July 2011. If you look at the Q&A on the Author's website the title listed is Can't Hurry Love, this must be the working title. I'm curious to know how the two titles fit the storyline.(less)

This is book two in the Baci Sisters trilogy. I read book one first and then book three. There was just something about this book (reading the back cover) that didn't grab my interest initially. I knew I would read it sometime because I like Christie Ridgway books and I knew I'd have to complete the series but it took me a while to get around to it. Well, this is my first book by this author. It was recommended by someone on goodreads and I thought I would give her a shot since I am kind of on a contemporary romance run right now. To put it simply, I liked it-but didn't love it. There were things I liked about it and things that bugged me a little as well.

The way she does it though makes the characters seem a little more real than past attempts. She spends a lot of time developing the characters by explaining their pasts and what molds their fears and hang-ups they are dealing with today. This story is about Stevie the tomboy of the family who's ex gets engaged to a princess very quickly after their breakup. She has a limo service and is forced to chauffer her ex and his fiance around town on New Year's Eve. Jack is the princess' brother who is very protective of his sister and warns Stevie not to try anything to ruin his sister's happiness. They take an instant dislike for each other yet are both also immediately in-lust with each other(of course). So ensues a lot of bickering and sexual tension. This is definitely at times entertaining and steamy. I do think they have very good chemistry together. Stevie gets roped into planning her ex's wedding....sorry but that would just be too awkward for words(!) and therefore must spend a lot of time around Jack as well. I just have to add....my one pet peeve about this story. It is pointed out MULTIPLE times by Jack that he thinks her lips are so sexy....the perfect blow-job lips. Ok, now I am not a prude. I have read every type of romance genre there is including some erotica but does he really have to say and think these exact same words repeatedly throughout the book? Really? I started rolling my eyes after about the third time. I found it a little disgusting that that thought popped into his head every time he saw her mouth. Ugh. Moving on...
Anyhow, it was a nice read, and it left you wanting to read the next in the series about the last sister not yet hooked up. This book was definitely good enough for me to follow up with the next one. It had a lot of redeeming qualities. Lots of humor, good characterization, and a good HEA. I recommend giving it a shot. (less)

I was browsing through Goodreads one night when I saw that there is a lot of new romance books coming out in the next couple of months. While doing this, I stumbled upon the Three Kisses series by Christie Ridgway. Then He Kissed Me is the second book in the series. The summary sounded good, the reviews were positive and that compelled me to take a chance on the books. And boy, I was pleasantly surprised, and really happy that I did!

This is one of those books that you just wanna curl up with on a weekend and enjoy late into the night. It’s about Stevie Baci and Prince Jacque or Jack as he’d rather be called. I was definitely looking forward to reading this after ‘Crush on you’ which featured the youngest of the Three Baci sisters. See, Stevie is the middle child. The daughter who was always getting herself into messes. Literally. She was a tomboy in her youth and still is even as an adult. I liked that about her. She was tough and strong and hung out with the boys. She owns her own business called Napa Princess Limousine, which she works at as a chauffeur. This is how she met her prince. She Just come off of a rather unpleasant breakup, and now she found herself driving around her ex and his princess bride, Roxanne. Who is Jack’s sister. Poor Stevie, I thought. But then things got interesting. Jack, whose got this rep as being a bad boy, etc, sticks on to Stevie, like white on rice or as he put it ‘fly in her champagne’.

He wants to make sure that she doesn’t come between his sister’s happiness. So he comes up with this plan to put his sister’s mind at ease. What ensues is an amazingly fun and super sexy story with a little bit of angst thrown int sweeten the pot. Also, did I mention that Jack speaks French? When he calls Stevie ‘mon ange’ I about swoon my ass off. He’s so slick and yummy.

I really enjoyed reading the second book in Christie Ridgway’s ‘three kisses’ trilogy. Her writing is upbeat and smart and delightful.(less)

As if that isn't bad enough, the soon-to-be bride's brother is dogging her every step, determined to make sure she doesn't harm his sister in anyway. But who will protect Stevie from getting hurt?

Jack has done his best to live in the moment since an incident happened in his teens. Now the only thing he takes seriously is making sure his baby sister is happy. Keeping an eye on Stevie is no hardship - she attracts him on every level. But when things get a little too serious, will Jack and Stevie be able to set their pasts aside and accept true love?

Stevie really struggles with feelings of inadequacy because of some careless words said in anger by her ex-fiance, plus a feeling of being the odd one out in her family. As a result she holds herself back from getting too close to anyone or anything. She's always been "one of the guys" and she hides her femininity as much as possible. While this could have been annoying, I rather enjoyed it. It was refreshing to see a woman who chose to "have sex like a man" (ie without messy emotions getting in the way). Plus, it allowed for a lot of personal growth on her part. Watching her learn to open up and find herself was wonderful.

Jack isn't really the playboy everyone assumes he is. Yes, he's been around the block a time or 20, but many of his escapades were wildly exaggerated. That doesn't mean he's ready to settle down, however. His refusal to get involved in a messy relationship don't stop him from being attracted to Stevie. Again Ridgway excelled at writing a fairly common trope. Jack had quite a bit more depth than he was given credit for, so the ties he came to feel to Stevie were even more poignant.

The secondary romance between Jack's sister, Roxanne, and her fiance, Emerson (Stevie's ex), was also interesting. There were times I was more interested in them than in the main protagonists. Especially Roxanne - she was very well written. Emerson was kind of a jackass at first, but he really came around as the story progressed.

Another solid contemporary romance from Ridgway. The progression of the romance was well done and I loved the relationship between the sisters. I only wish I didn't have to wait another 6 months for the 3rd book, Can't Hurry Love (the book I'm most anxious for).

In this book we are introduced to Jack Parini, a real prince who is the brother of Stevie's ex's fiancee. Jack loves his sister Roxy a lot and he would do anything to ensure she gets what she wants. i.e. marrying Emerson, Stevie's ex, while Stevie is helping them in their wedding.

He was total charming and jerk too. Well, if you ask me both the lead pairing were not my fav in the series. I guess Allie and Penn are my fav. So, sorry I am not going to write much of a review here. There were some scenes which had me sighing especially when Jack promises to send Stevie white roses every day after he leaves her.. That was oh-so-romantic!! *sighs*

This particular scene where Jack sees the photo of Baci sisters as kids and that way he saw it gave us a new view of Stevie.. (view spoiler)

and later when he confronts Stevie and shows her the same photo which she has always seen and never observed it from his point of view. This gives light to what her mother thought of her. (view spoiler)

These were some scenes which had me doing awwwww.. choo chweett!!

and the secondary story was of Emerson and Roxy, which completely bored me. I seriously wanted to know about Seth!! Buh!! and now I got to know that next book also does not have Seth's story!!! This is so unfair!!!

I don't know if this book will be liked by all. I, for one, did not enjoy as much I expected to. After reading this, I found first book better. I am just going to the last book so that I know happens. (less)

I really liked stevie's character. She was strong willed and had a take-no-prisoners attitude. She was a tomboy but it turns out under all that...she was actually...a woman. Her male friends took it for granted that she would laugh at all the crude jokes, join in on poker night, and never actually act like a girl. Roxy's older brother, Prince Jacques "Jack" Parini, a supposed bad-boy with a history of being in the tabloids, shows up to protect his sister. Jack wants to make sure that Stevie doesn't do anything to ruin his sister's wedding. On the surface he appears to be a good for nothing spoiled Prince. But there's more to him and you see that through his relationship with his sister and his friends.

Stevie is vulnerable. She's different from her sisters and doesn't appear to be as comfortable in her skin. She tends to hold herself back in relationships. I really liked the character of Jack. It's clear he loves his sister and feels guilt over an incident in their past. But I also liked how he was drawn to Stevie. When Emerson shows up at Stevie's and says some not so nice things, Jack wants to punch him for what he said to Stevie - not because he was about to hurt his sister.

I liked that Roxy and Jack weren't perfect. I've read some books before where the "royal" is perfect but that wasn't the case. Both Roxy and Jack come with baggage and flaws. But with their partners help they can overcome them.

While the book focuses on Stevie and Jack, the secondary romance between Roxy and Emerson was also well developed and well written. While it could be easy to hate Roxy because she stole Emerson's heart, you can't help but like her. Even Emerson who doesn't come off as being of great character turns out to be a good guy.

While this book is part of a series, it can be read on its own. You won't loss much if you aren't familiar with the storyline with Allie or Penn. If you are looking for a light fluffy, sweet read, I would recommend this book. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long for the next installment!

I came to Christie Ridgway with one of her first books, Knitting a Wild Sexy Bikini. I really enjoyed the romance in the story. The promoted plot of saving the winery really wasn't a big part of the story. It was more about one of the Baci sisters and a handsome young prince transplanted in Napa Valley. The second book of Christie Ridgeway's Three Kisses series was an absolute gem. The main characters Jack and Stevie had instant chemistry and got under each other's skin immediately which made many of their encounters hysterical. They both appeared so strong, but were so vulnerable. Stevie, the middle sister of the Baci sisters, was a tomboy and felt she never measured up to her other sisters' femininity so she rebelled. Her flash backs to her youth were priceless- she dominated, scared, and was respected by every man in town. Then she meets Jack who is a prince and in town to help his sister plan her wedding to Stevie's ex, as well as, make sure Stevie doesn't sabotage it. There is an immediate something between Jack and Stevie, what it is neither of them know, but Stevie knows he is absolutely wrong for her in every way. Feeling challenged, Jack pursues her hard against his own will. Stevie didn't want to open her heart again and be told she wasn't good enough so she went into the relationship as a man would. Some very funny scenes result from Stevie's brazen attitude towards Jack, a one upping kissing scene, as well as, her approach to sex- "sex like a man" she calls it, no cuddling and gone before he wakes in the morning, had me grinning. She definitely gets the better of Jack. Jack comes off as a wild, bad boy who lives life carelessly, but he is hiding some past experience as well. As a result he feels he doesn't have a heart to give Stevie.

Also what I liked about the story was that there were many other sub plots; secondary love story between Stevie's ex and Jack's sister, hunt for treasure, and some foreshadowing for the next book with the explosive couple Jule's and Liam (dyn-O-mite, can't wait)

So i guess I liked it. but it's more like I wanted it done and over to finally read Jules/Liam story. and because' I am not a fan of the Prince(cess) and the pauper stories...

This book was nice but some of their griefs was a little over done. and the presence of his sister made me wonder a few times whom story it was.
Rox problem,Emerson indecision, Liam problem, Jules problem, Kohl entering the story...

I really enjoyed reading this book. The main character was completely relatable and you could lose yourself in the lust/passion of the whole thing. And find yourself laughing at her as well. The instant attraction between Stevie and Jack and their fighting against falling in love, is really well written. I like that Stevie tried to "have sex like a man" throughout the whole book, while not realizing that she was already so far in love with Jack. Loved this book! As always Christie Ridgway gives us the fiery Baci sisters and their barely surviving winery/wedding hot spot! Both heroes have strong similarities with the ones I read about in my last book :
- the heroine has always been a tomboy, has lots of male friends whom she spent time with and who often forget she is indeed a woman. She looks really tough on the outside, not to allow herself to care too much and get hurt again

I truly enjoyed and loved this book! The chemistry between Jack and Stevie was smokin' hot, and it was also nice to see Roxy and Emerson get their happy ending as well-- they're the couple that's getting married at Tanti Baci by the way! I've been in the mood for contemporary romances lately and I have to say, it's that time of year again! Last year, I read Allie's story in Crush On You and while it was interesting, I didn't like the heroine or the hero that much. But this book? It's definitely a winner! Jack and Stevie are two very different people because you know what? Jack happens to be a prince! The main problem that these two have is that and the fact that Stevie doesn't want to lose her heart again. It's pretty understandable and typical, but I liked how Christie Ridgway went with it. It started out as a relationship with no strings attached... and then they start growing feelings for one another. Another interesting aspect about this book is that as readers, we also get a follow-up of the other couples involved as well as the next couple in the last book. Hmm, Liam and Jules anyone? Ooh, I'm truly looking forward to that one! I always knew there was something between those two, even when I read the first book. The author sort of hinted that they had a relationship back in the day... and it left both of them bitter towards one another ever since. Either way, the steam factor was actually pretty high for this one! Shocking right? Not to mention that Jack and Stevie were coming at each other 80% of the book. Hah!

To sum it up, if you're looking for a pretty steamy contemporary romance for the summer, you should check out this series. Then He Kissed Me had me sold from the first chapter! 5/5 stars for this lovely book~(less)

I just loved this book! The characters were completely relatable and within the first few pages I was hooked. The story is part of a trilogy; however, I didn't read the first book. The writing was funny, tender and sexy. I was a little worried the end of the book would follow the cliches of other romance books I have read, and without giving that cliche away, I will just say I was pleasantly surprised that the author refused to give into the obvious path to getting the couple together at the end...more

Even after reading it, I'm not totally sure if I liked it or not. It was a fun, light, largely inoffensive book. The secondary characters were way more interesting than the primary characters, which is usually not a great sign. The ex-boyfriend of the lead is a weasel who sorta reforms, and his new bride has a lot of work to do, but she does seem to be trying her best, which makes her, again, way more interesting than the lead character who is sorta blah.

This is the second book in Ridgway's Three Kisses series, about the Baci sisters and their winery in Napa Valley. I enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to the rest of the series. I wasn't disappointed. Both Stevie and Jack were excellent characters. Ridgway really excels at writing deep, emotional romances. I only wish I didn't have to wait another 6 months for the 3rd book.

Even though I have sworn off reading stories set in small towns, I couldn't resist this one. It's set in Napa Valley with mentions of San Francisco. Plus, the story and characters (I especially loved Stevie but I'm partial to middle children) are good. Now, I just want to know where the treasure is (probably revealed in the next book).

I liked the story between Jack and Stevie, but I did not like the story between Emerson and Roxy. I found Emerson annoying and wish the author had developed the kidnapping story a little more. A solid book, but not one of my favorites.

And p.s., what does the title of the novel have to do with the story? I don't see the connection.

I really loved this! I think there was just something about both Stevie and Jack's vulnerability that really appealed to me. I thought their romance was just perfect. I also really liked Emerson and Roxie. I was somewhat disappointed in Crush on You, so I was thrilled that I liked this book so much!
