Each year, as days grow shorter and trees become bare, the world outside seems to slow and darken. But for children, this time of year is magical. The frosty air crackles with play and laughter. I really liked that this narrative nonfiction picture book was told from Winter's perspective. There were really interesting words that my first graders enjoyed discussing. We especially liked thinking about how winter can be sneaky!
