Stay Jaded or nah?

There is a lot of real life material in this 4th installment of the Indigo Summer series. Adjusting after a divorce and having a drug-addicted parent are a couple of the themes addressed in this story. It's hard enough as a teenager, but carrying burdens such as these compound a young persons experience. Well-written, filled with real emotion, and definitely worth reading.

"Jaded" By Monica McKayhan was an okay book to me. I think the switching of the characters was a bit confusing, I know a lot of people that agreed with that too. This book did not really hold my attention, but I did read the whole book. Could have been better :/ .

The book was really good!! The story gives an idealistic view on how real life can effect the youngest of teenagers in the most unfortunate situations. In the book, Jade and Terrence understood that concept.

Jade wants her parents to get back together instead her dad proposes to his new girlfriend, who asks Jade to be a bridesmaid. She has a new boyfriend, Terrence and he thinks she should give her soon to be stepmom a chance. Terrence is cute and cool but he seems to be hiding something. He is always busy and never invites Jade to his house.
Terrence’s mom is never really around. She leaves the house and doesn’t come back for days straight, leaving Terrence to take care o

Jaded is a young adult book told in two different POVs--Jade, a girl who is struggling to deal with her divorced parents and life in general, and her boyfriend, Terrence, a guy whose druggie mother is away so much that he is forced to work to support his younger brother and sister. Ashamed of not being able to be a normal teenage boy, Terrence keeps his family life hidden from Jade.

I thought this was an interesting, realistic book. I have to admit, I liked Terrence a whole lot better than Jade.

I thought that this book was amazing and that everyone should read it. Terrence a teenage boy, is having to become a man a little to young. His mother "Arlene" is on drugs and he has to look over his 2 younger siblings and be the man of the house while his mom is out partying, gone for weeks. His girlfriend Jade is going through something totally different! Her dad is getting married to another woman! That does not sound to good for her. Terrence has not advised Jade about his difference in life ...more

I Thought this book was really good. In The end, Chocolate Boy found a college girl, and Jade accepted that, because she wanted to move on and find herself. This is a good book to read if you like urban teen fictions because this is what it's all about

I just started Jaded today and so far I think it's a good book. It shows the difference between ungrateful and grateful.
