This is an interesting book, probably suitable from about ages eight and above. It has a mixture of both friendly illustrations and photographs depicting different aspects of religious practice. It begins by discussing what religion is and includes a a brief history of religion, before going on in more detail to inform the reader of the seven main religions of the world. there are a couple of things I don't like about this book, namely that it only gives some other religions most notably Rastafa ...more

This is a really good resource for elementary school kids, especially third grade above. As far as I am concerned, this is a great choice for multicultural students and classroom environment. From the content aspect, it covers the history of eight main religions, their beliefs, the style and place of worship, and the calendar of festivals an ...more

Adorable colorful drawings accompany the photographs and text in this book written to introduce children to the religions of the world. Kids from the various religions are graphically depicted and seem to speak directly to the child reading the pages. This book is perfect for the younger child with questions about this big topic.
