The very first Jeffrey Archer I read - I actually finished it on a plane. I was probably at just the right impressionable age where his descriptions of assisination attempts, political conspiracies, marksmen shooting out the tires of cars, and CIA directors with an initial H which nobody can guess equalled much entertainment and excitement. The fact that I remember so much about the book probably shows what an impression it had on me.

The first political thriller I ever read, keeps you engaged till the last page and you still wanna read more of it. Trying to get hold of "The day of the Jackal" since then; heard so much about it.

yet another very good Archer...but in my opinion it's a very different style of writing that he uses in this book...it's not the quintessential archer..

Entertaining read, third in the Kane & Able series, more of a thriller than a saga like the previous two. A good read nonetheless.

This is one of those summer time books I'll always remember. A great read many years ago that I feel I have to add to my list.

The weakest of his books. I never really read the whole thing, just skipped around.

The book moves at a great pace. Page turner would be a nice way of describing it.
