I'm sure this was a well-intended book by a fine fellow proud of his heritage, but I hated Park Ridge.

The family moved there while I was in fifth grade. For the parents it was a move up. Dad's mom sold him her old house on very generous terms and it was much closer to his job. For my two-year-old brother, Fin Ei nar, it was a matter of indifference. His memories begin there. For me it was a disaster.
