Forbidden Nights with a Vampire (Love at Stake #7)
Vanda Barkowski is in trouble.
As the owner of a hot nightclub, she's more unconventional than most of her fellow vampires, and if some think her a little out of control, then so be it. But after three former employees filed a complaint about her temper, Vanda is sentenced to an anger management class. Worse, Phil Jones agreed to be her sponsor. Phil, the mortal who is for...more
This couple was great, the chemistry between them was amazing and how everything developed even better. I loved the change from vampire to were.
This series is a fun, quick read. I give this books 5 stars because I really enjoy reading them, but they can't compare to more serious or complex books. It's something to read when you're looking for a ligh...more

Not like the previous books, that got many humor aspect, this book is more emotional.
Vanda Barkowsky got a hard past.Betrayal, lost her family, lost her lover, chased by Malcontents again and again, make her personalities is hard too. And then she must go to anger management, because some worker in her club, Horny Devils is complaint that she can't control her anger. She, of course, disagree to go to anger management, and relieved there no one wa...more
Another great story by Kerrelyn Sparks. She again gives us well rounded easy to love characters, in this book particularly I really enjoyed the backgrounds she gave both Phil and Vanda. Once again the suspense surrounding the war with the Malcontents is a great background and allows us to once...more
Anger sizzled in Vanda as she faced Roman. “You won’t find anyone here to sponsor me. They’re a bunch of cowards.” She adjusted the whip around her waist. “And they’re right! They should fear me. If any of them dares to reprimand me, I’ll rip their heads off.”
A collective gasp echoed across the room.
Roman regarded her sadly. “I don’t believe you’re entering into this exercise with the correct attitude.”
Connor handed him the keys. “Be careful, lad.”
Phil snorted. “I know how to drive.”
(view spoiler)[I can testify that all of the previous book in this series is really quite hilarious.. BUT this one? make that times 10! It started on a really light hearted funny note wherein Vanda is summoned for accusations and then later on was sentenc...more

Ya so, Phil has a great character and charisma. He is hot sweet, loving, brave and beautiful. He is a perfect man. MAN! who ever thought Phil would marry a vamp? When he showed up in books before [ 3,5,6 and a bit of 1] I...more
I wanted to like the heroine, Vanda. I tried to sympathize with her plight, but just couldn't make it work, no matter her tragic WWII Nazi-resistance back story. An...more
This was a very good book to read. The reason why is in the title, "Forbidden". This is an interesting story and very sweet as well.
Phil is the main character of this story is not a vampire, but a shape-shifter, or lycan, or werewolf (whichever you prefer). The vampire is Vanda, a woman who used to live with Roman and was a part of his harem from the first book in this series.
Vanda and Phil are a little di...more
Seriously, usually this series has one purpose and one focus, and that's to get the couple in bed and give the reader smut. All done tongue in cheek (as it were, heh) while self-parodying the whole supernatural erotica genre. There was a silly "plot" involved that overarced the series, but it was really just a vehicle to get one or both of the lovers kidnapped or put them in a bit of "danger." I say that in quotes because it was always pretty silly an...more
If Vanda knew who—or what—Phil really is, she'd reconsider her attraction to him, for his true nature is wilder than anything she...more
Vanda Barkowski just got slapped with another court order to receive anger management classes and Phil Jones steps up to be her sponsor.
Back when she lived in Roman's Harlem, she constantly flirted with him, knowing as her guard he was forbidden to react to her taunting, but behind her playful ways, she really did like him.
Finding out Vanda really did like h...more

“I thought you’d never ask.” Vanda tossed her bag onto the table. She was ready for him this time.
He opened her silver evening bag. His eyes widened.
She was quite proud that she’d managed to squeeze a pair of handcuffs, a blindfold, her back massager, and a bottle of Viagra
into such a tiny handbag. She smiled sweetly. “Something wrong, Connor?”
