I can really see why some readers would love this story, and it had its moments, but most of it just didn’t work for me. There was a lot of overwrought melodrama, with characterization of the main characters provided by repeating the same buzzwords over and over: She has a shameful secret, he has a shameful secret, she wants control, control, control, he wants to be the man he should be. very intense emotions involved here. i was going to give 4 star but then it lost one star because of too much drama. i mean they exaggerate in the emotions when what happened to them did not seem that awful to me.
