I have to say I am completely floored that most people have this a 3 star review. I thought this book was absolutely amazing, especially after having read so not so amazing books. For the past month and a half about, I've read Harlequin Presents books (about 2 to 3 books a night actually) and I have to say, this really blows them out of the water. It was a very good read. There was room to laugh and to cry a wee bit and also a wee bit of conflict. And while I find that the friends could have bee ...more

A sweet but unbelievable story.

Alexandra Lowell went to Las Vegas with her three best friends to help her friend Jayne overcome the grief being jilted by her fiance just before the wedding. Ridiculous with a capital 'R'. Woman goes to Vegas with her friends for a getaway weekend. While it doesn't tell us what happens to the rest of them, they all have a story out of this one. In this case Alex has a history of helping other people, not having any backbone, and committing herself before she knows the extent of her commitment. The concierge at the hotel lobby goes into labor and Alex steps up, helps out, and fields questions of people coming up to ask a woman in labor how to get to t ...more
I'm not sure how I feel about this book. It's a good story idea, but I wasn't sure if sometimes I was having the 'conflict' rammed down my throat. It just felt in places a little repetitive.

And the ending, of course 'happy', I was a tiny bit disappointed with. It was actually a teeny tiny bit cheesy. I mean their behaviour in front of all those people (you'll see) just, well, I'm surprised someone didn't shout "Get a room!"

Alex gets hired by Wyatt to cover maternity leave at his hotel in Vegas,
