This book was a pretty good! It was a little overdramatic in some parts though. I think the title fits the book well! It says "Tales from a Not-So-Popular Party Girl," and it is about a girl named Nikki, who is unpopular, setting up a Halloween party for her school. She must make a dance for the students in her school. I think this book title suits the book well also, because "Dork Diaries" is a good name for a unpopular girl writing a diary.
If I had to be one of the characters in this book it

The second of the Dork Diaries books, Rachel Renee Russell hit a whole in one again with her equally, funny, purple-covered female version of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Nikki's tween voice rings true yet again with her worries about being popular, the craziness of her family and friends, and the troubles she has with mean girl Mackenzie (I just HATE when she sashays!) and her oh-so-adorable crush Brandon. 4/5 because, like Dork Diaries #1, this book is truthful, happy and easy to understand, while al ...more

Dork Diaries is an amazing series. I like this book because, your life might be like Nikki's when you're a teenager. For example, Nikki tries to be at 2 parties at the same time. That might be something you might do. Sometimes it's okay to just please one person instead of everybody at the same time. Another reason I like this book is because it's really funny. There's more funny parts in one chapter than in any of the other books I've read. The last reason I like this book is because it teaches ...more

My Rating: 3/5 stars

(Before we begin this review, I would just like to clarify that I will not be reading the whole series; I will only be rereading the books I own just to get back onto track with my reading goal for this year.)

Okay, I'll admit. I liked this slightly better than the first one. Nikki was a little less annoying (although she's not quite tolerable just yet) than the first book, and I definitely had a better understanding of her character. I also really liked the plot a lot more. I

Summary…. Dork Diaries: Tales from a not-so Popular Party Girl is about a girl named Nikki. It is basically a girl’s diary. It talks about her crush, her enemy, her sister, and about what’s going on in her life. Her life I very crazy and interesting.
She has to deal with being three different things in one night. She has to be at a birthday party, a Halloween party dressed as trash bags with her friends, and the same Halloween party, but dressed as a princess with her date Brandon. Brandon is

After Nikki beat Mackenzie in the art competition, the WCD Halloween Dance was coming up. Nikki wanted to help out with the dance along with Chloe and Zoey. They were also going to go together as a group of friends until her crush, Brandon asked her to go with him. Nikki then got asked to help out with her little sister, Brianna's party. Can Nikki pull it off?

I really enjoyed reading this book. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys hilarious books with lots of pictures. This book is a very

Nikki Maxwell's troubles are far from over! Mackenzie has invited her to her birthday party again! But this time she actually goes just so she can talk to Brandon and hopefully get him to invite her to the Halloween party! But before she can even talk to him Mackenzie bullies her into leaving the party :( The next big party coming up is the Halloween party, and Nikki, Zoey, and Chloe have agreed to be on the planning committee – which really only means that if the party fails they'll be the one' ...more

I was SO excited to hear that the Dork Diaries series would be continuing with this second book, Dork Diaries: Tales From A Not-So-Popular Party Girl. I adored the the first book, the author has such a way with humor that I think all her jokes are funny and I just adore Nikki! And the situations Nikki finds herself in, oh man, I’m not the target audience but they were hilarious! There is something about the way that Nikki writes her journal that is so innocent and genuine that she’s instantly lo ...more

Book Review:
This book is by Rachel Russell. This book is a teenage classic. It sums up every thing that happens in a teenagers life. It has mystery and questionable momments. It includes problem, love, and enemies of a teenager. I could relate to this book well. I am a teenager and most of the things happening to her. Were happening to me.

Plot Summary:
In the beginning the main character is writing in her diary. Then her enemy comes and puts he

I just finished reading Dork Diaries. I loved it! It is just like Diary of a Wimpy Kid except it is in a girl version. It is about this girl named Nikki and her two friends named Chloe and Zoey. Her life is horrible because she has to live with the mean girl, Mackenzie. Mackenzie loves to ruin Nikki's life by stealing her crush, Brandon. There is a Halloween dance coming up and Mackenzie and Nikki are both part of the cleaning crew. When Mackenzie cancels, Nikki becomes in charge of the cleaning ...more

Nikki has won the art show, and now, at the party, she has said some pretty goofy things. She even said 'wing-dings' to Brandon, and HE thought it was goofy. But then Mackenzie Hollister (Nikki says, 'It`s so totally OK to call her the mean girl'), says, 'All you may come to my party!' But after the sad time at the party, Nikki gets chocolate all over her dress, and calls home. Then Brandon gives her a mean look, and it haunts her for awhile. Then the Halloween party. That`s a mistake. Mackenzie ...more

Dorkiness is totally awesome!

I love the fact that Nikki Maxwell is not so perfect. And she admits that she is a dork. How cool is that? Totally cool!

I don't think I could find a character writing a diary in the digital era nowadays. What makes this interesting that it hit true to a teenager's life. You surely remember your first crush, and the pledge of being best friend forever (BFF) right?

This is a compilation of the 3rd and 4th book of the Dork Diaries (Pop Star and Skating Sensation). I love

Read through this book pretty quickly (after reading the first book in the series, and now am on the 3rd book). Some of the book gets a bit repetitive (the protagonist, Nikki, is always having to deal with MacKenzie Hollister, the popular girl whose locker is right next door to hers, and everything ends up working out for Nikki), but it's an easy read and doesn't make you think too much.

I took a look at the reviews on Amazon for this series and some of the comments were that the books were inapp

This book was hilarious. I loved Nikki a lot in this book. Her quest through middle school is getting worse and better in cases. From Chloe and Zoey, the school's biggest dorks along with Nikki and being her best friends. They understand each other, and know what friendship means. But now things have gotten much worse. Mackenzie Hollister, who is most popular girl in Westchester middle school has invited the entire Halloween Dance Committee for her birthday party. Nikki is thrilled, but also is ...more

This was ok.... I couldn't relate to the book though. It makes middle school seem like highschool... All the drama and crushes and stuff like that seems like they should be in highschool and they r only in 6th grade (im pretty sure). It was a little dull and predictable too.... but over all it was okay.

I loved this book so much. It was quick and easy to read. I liked that it had pictures in it. it had such good caricatures in this book. I would recommend this book to people who like hummer and drama.

Nikki Maxwell is a dork. She is bullied by the cute ad popular girls, and she just wants her crush to ask her to the dance--if there is a dance! She is tricked into planning the dance and everything is going wrong. She has promised to be three different places during said dance. Will she be able to please everybody on the night of Halloween while staying sane herself?

Good book but not as good as the first one. But it is a good time passer. i only started this book because i was bored out of my brain but after i got to the 50th page i liked it and kept going. So overall it is a good book but i have to say it can get boring.

This was a great book but a little over dramatic at times! This Dork Diaries Tales from a not so popular party girl is sure to make you laugh but also feel a little bad for Nikki Maxwell. She gets invited to Mackenzie Hollister's birthday party, but ruins the whole party. Meanwhile later on in the book, the Halloween dance is being ran by Nikki. At the same time she's supposed to be helping Brianna's dance class, hanging out with her BFFs Cloe and Zoey and hanging with her crush/ date Brandon wh ...more
