The kitchen at the Hotel Marchand is hot and steamy, but it's not the simmering gumbo that's kicking up the heat. Head chef Robert LeSoeur and sous-chef Melanie Marchand have been battling each other since their first day together.

Taking orders and curbing her creative instincts is tough for an ambitious professional like Melanie, and the attraction she feels for her boss

It is hard to express what Lori Wilde can do with a story. Walls, walls, and more walls the we have for ourselves is where is story festers.
Melanie the youngest sister of the Merchant family, owners of Hotel Merchand, never really fit in. She never feels like she fit in at home and when her family hires a Head chef, Robert LeSoeur, she is disappointed. She has every intent on taking over and will do everything in her power to gain her families trust that she could handle it.

This was a cute book. I love to cook, so I think that is why I was drawn to this book about head chef Robert LeSoeur and sous-chef Melanie Marchand. Both lead characters, were likable and the book had some steamy scenes. It had a fun story line with some laugh-out-loud moments that kept me interested util the last page.

I was able to download this book on my Sony Ereader for free. If you have some downtime, it is a good read (not a must read, but a good read).

Food + romance = heaven!

A deliciously steamy read! Another reason I am a Lori Wilde fan. Can't wait to read the next in the series.

Lori Wilde can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to write. She even went to nursing school so she could have a schedule flexible enough to allow her to write on the side. She nursed for 20 years, working in a variety of settings from the newborn nursery to the recovery room, to dialysis. But she never lost her desire to write.

She sold her first book in 1994 to Silhouette Romance but later dis
