This was the first book that I’ve run across that dealt with an adventurer/explorer theme, so I enjoyed it for the different plot and storyline. It was hard to tell whether the timeframe in the book takes place in the future or past (my guess is future), but either way, the “world” described is unique and has references to places and creatures that are unfamiliar and yet easily visualized through the author’s descriptions.

I would probably not have heard of this book if it wasn't for the A - Z Challenges but I'm certainly glad I read it. Zimaya Heights was an great adventure story, set in another world but to be honest I was never quite sure if it was set in the future or the past. It didn't really matter though to my enjoyment of the story. Lots of adventure, drama and some pretty hot sex :)

It's not good nor bad book. A really OK book with no memorable scene nor really bad one. (view spoiler)

It could flow more freely but on itself a good read.
We are thrown in a world which has some similarities to our own. Which is no reason to not describe it more! It would have been nice to know more about the world, have a bit of it explained(year, name etc.)before just being thrown in. Also characters are introduced really suddenly.
BUT it has a story, which takes us on an interesting journey through the dangerous jungle to the mostly undiscovered Zimaya Heights.

I am a published author of gay romantic erotica - I term it such because I view my stories as primarily romance with a touch of erotica. I write well plotted tales in which sex plays a role. My work is in a variety of genres - historical, fantasy, paranormal, futuristic and contemporary.
