I have such mixed feelings about this book. I think I need to look at it as an annotated bibliography of the AZA's (Association of Zoo's and Aquariums) involvement in politics, a great resource for knowing what I should look up if I want to actually understand more. It's painfully dry and dense, yet somehow is so vague, particularly in the first half, that I'm actually not sure I understand what many of the court cases were really about or how zoos factored into them.
