I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I've met the author several times and she came into my primary school when the book was released. However, this book really intrigued me because of the plot twists. It got me really involved in the world, although the characters, so much, I did not ADORE. So yeah, exceeded my expectations.
I loved this book. Edwin is not a special boy... except he looks just like someone else who isn't really special either. Perpetua is not special either but together their adventure is anything but ordinary. It's sure to please children 9+ and frankly I enjoyed it a great deal too.
