A book filled with little gems to keep you thinking about what is truly hope.

"Hope involves finding where and to whom we and all creation belong and then having the trust encourage to start living in that direction."

"Humanly speaking, despair is presumptuous."

"Hope is not an attitude but a virtue that faces reality head-on, reads situations often as bad going to worse - and knows that no matter how reality presents itself, ultimately all shall be well."
I did not find this book as useful as I did Wilson's collection on anger. I suspect that is because I have been more angry than hopeful, which is sad, but true.

Once again Wilson put together a number of quotations from some famous and not-so-famous people. She is good at finding the right writings to put together. The message of hope flows well as you read multiple entries. All in all a good book that I am just not ready for.

I recommend this to folks who lead devotions. Most pieces in here are
