Now THIS was an awesome way to wrap up a series.
This is a classy novella. Yes, it's hot as hell, but the love scenes are done in such a manner that the book doesn't feel bawdy, sex-for-sex-sake or raunchy. It's absolutely beautiful. You get into the emotional and psychological 'bits' of the main characters without any unnecessary dialog or 'dry' parts. The world building is nicely done without being overdone. I do, however, think it's best read after reading at least one or two of t More...

Really? The Wastland series is over? Well. I could just cry. For the last four weeks I have been enjoying this series of novellas published by Samhain Publishing. Each book by a different author from the Smutketeers. Smut being the operative word here. Smut in a time far, far away... into the future, post 2012. A land where Mad Max wouldn't be out of place, and where women are cherished because of their rarity.

I think I just fainted...

A great ending to the series. Brought a lot of answers to questions. I think I'm in love with Hel. ;-) And very interesting how the Goddess and the Angry Sun god came into being. Smart women, they were. Smart, scared women. I can't even imagine the horror and fear at that time and trying to bring your daughter through it so she survives. Granted, this was fiction, but I can see how such a world could exist under the circumstances. Humanity could easily lose its humanity and revert to animals.
