I have just started reading this book and i find this book really touching. It is about a young african american basketball player. Who stuggles poverty with his mum but meets some friends along and forms a team . I chose to read this book because the title of the book inspired me. Dream team is a book of young basketball team who lives like brothers and plays basketball to achieve their dreams.

Everybody knows who Lebron James is. Everyone knows that he is arguably the most dominant player in the National Basketball Association today. But most people don’t know his story and where he came from. Many people know that he came to the NBA out of high school and went first pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Everybody knows him from their TV screens, but there is another half of Lebron James that people don’t see dunking over half their team’s players each week. That’s the story of his high sc ...more

I decided to read More Than A Game because LeBron is my favorite NBA player. I've been his #1 biggest fan for three years now, and I was dying to read a book about him! I was eager to learn more about my idol besides his amazing ball-handling on the court. Once I was finished reading, I gained so much more respect for LeBron. For example; he had it tough when he was little, but he still followed his dreams and made it very far in life. I recommended this book to anyone who doubts LeBron- I guar ...more

Lebron James is arguably the best basketball player ever to play the game. When he was in middle school he was on a team called the Shooting Stars and they had the "Fab Four," Lebron, Little Dru, Sian, and Willie. They were a really good team and they won many championships. When they all went to high school they went to St. Vincent St. Mary high school and they did this to play basketball. I know... a book about LeBron James is NOT what you would expect to see on my reading list. And it WOULDN'T be on my reading list, except for the fact that I added it to my students' summer reading list and I promised to read all of the books on it as MY summer homework. So, did I want to read this book? NO! Did I particularly enjoy reading it? No. Do I think that many of my high school students would enjoy reading it! YES!

For ME... I would rate the book 2 Stars. As another reviewer pointed out,

Lebron's Dream Team is a fantastic book to read. In the book it's love, a little pain, and even some every funny moments. Lebron and 4 other friends form a unbreakable bound from high school playing basketball. He relationship with all four other people is very strong. His friends names are Romeo, Willie, Sian, Little Dru. In my paper I'm going to be talking about Lebron's relationship with all 4 guys.

Lebron talks about all these guys as there are his real brothers and he considers them to be.

Lebrons Dream Team by LeBron James. LeBron James by far one of the greatest players of my generation. Once had a better team than the big three in high school? This book will venture into his early years from elementary to senior year in high school and even into when he declares for the NBA draft the fab five and his high school days were unstoppable I have seen videos of LeBron in high school and his teammates it was men against boys in high school.

The Fab five is probably one of the greates

I would rate Lebron's dream team a 4 out of 5 because although it did explain games and events with detail and a good writing style, Lebron James is an athlete, not an author. Now I know he had professional help, but it is still his writing style. I would recommend this book to kids from ages 10 to 16 that are athletes because in that respect, you can relate to many of the things Lebron went through in his life as an athlete. Yet, I would recommend this book to those who "have no chance" or no h ...more

Lebron`s Dream Team is an inspiring book. He wishes he had Kobe or Melo or someone amazing like them in his high school. He and five friends went to Saint Vincent High School. The people who came to watch him were given a good show. He averaged 30 points in each game. This book shows Lebron`s path to greatness. He tells us about his journey to the NBA. Today Lebron plays for the Heat and his nickname is King James. This book was an excellent way to learn about what it takes to be a successful ba ...more

This was a great book about how the best player in the world started his legacy. And how him and his four friends won championships and how five friends made history. This proves why a little hard work and dedication can leads to lots of things. Even though Lebron conquered his dream of hitting dead on in the NBA there is nothing better then four supportive friends to go along with it.

As of now in the book Lebron is now starting to meet his new friends that he will be playing basketball with for the rest of his childhood. He looks up to MJ (Michael Jordan) and what's to play just like him and that is what he wants to strive for in his childhood and basketball career.

I think this was a good book the way they showed how five guys united and played basketball together and what each of them are going through. They showed us how they went to become something more than a team they showed us how to become a family they all had some difference.
