This book is about Lebron James, it takes place in Akron Ohio. Lebron is a high school kid that plays basketball with his four best friends. This isn't any ordinary group of friends though. Lebron and his friends play on their school basketball team and there on of the best in the country, but are they the best, find out if Lebron and his friends will become the best or will fall short in the quest to become the best team in there country. I Really enjoyed this book i recommend this to anybody t...more

I decided to read More Than A Gamebecause LeBron is my favorite NBA player. I've been his #1 biggest fan for three years now, and I was dying to read a book about him! I was eager to learn more about my idol besides his amazing ball-handling on the court. Once I was finished reading, I gained so much more respect for LeBron. For example; he had it tough when he was little, but he still followed his dreams and made it very far in life. I recommended this book to anyone who doubts LeBron- I guara...more
I know... a book about LeBron James is NOT what you would expect to see on my reading list. And it WOULDN'T be on my reading list, except for the fact that I added it to my students' summer reading list and I promised to read all of the books on it as MY summer homework. So, did I want to read this book? NO! Did I particularly enjoy reading it? No. Do I think that many of my high school students would enjoy reading it! YES!

For ME... I would rate the book 2 Stars. As another reviewer pointed out,...more

I have just started reading this book and i find this book really touching. It is about a young african american basketball player. Who stuggles poverty with his mum but meets some friends along and forms a team . I chose to read this book because the title of the book inspired me. Dream team is a book of young basketball team who lives like brothers and plays basketball to achieve their dreams.

Everybody knows who Lebron James is. Everyone knows that he is arguably the most dominant player in the National Basketball Association today. But most people don’t know his story and where he came from. Many people know that he came to the NBA out of high school and went first pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Everybody knows him from their TV screens, but there is another half of Lebron James that people don’t see dunking over half their team’s players each week. That’s the story of his high sc...more

Lebron James is arguably the best basketball player ever to play the game. When he was in middle school he was on a team called the Shooting Stars and they had the "Fab Four," Lebron, Little Dru, Sian, and Willie. They were a really good team and they won many championships. When they all went to high school they went to St. Vincent St. Mary high school and they did this to play basketball. The first three seasons they w...more

The book I read was "Lebron's Dream Team", by H.G. Bissinger. This book was about the life of one of the best basketball players ever, Lebron James. It goes back to when Lebron played on a team called the Shooting Stars. The shooting stars were made up with five kids, Lebron James, Dru Joyce III, Romeo Travis, Sian Cotton and Willie McGee. They called themselves the “ Fab Five”. The “Fab Five” played together since they were 10 years old, to when...more

This book to me was the best sports book I ever since Friday Nights Lights. This book explain how Lebron James grow up become the NBA superstar that he is today. The book talk about his friends (Sian, Willie, Little Dru, and Romeo) going through all the adversities at their high school (St. Vincent) in Akron while going after their goal win the high school national championship.

This book explain that anything is possible if you just believe. This book is very inspiring to all inspired athletes....more

I would rate Lebron's dream team a 4 out of 5 because although it did explain games and events with detail and a good writing style, Lebron James is an athlete, not an author. Now I know he had professional help, but it is still his writing style. I would recommend this book to kids from ages 10 to 16 that are athletes because in that respect, you can relate to many of the things Lebron went through in his life as an athlete. Yet, I would recommend this book to those who "have no chance" or no h...more
I thought it was pretty good overall because it talked about alot of his intense games he played and it told all about his life. So i would recommend it to people who like LeBron or people who like basketball.

Lebron`s Dream Team is an inspiring book. He wishes he had Kobe or Melo or someone amazing like them in his high school. He and five friends went to Saint Vincent High School. The people who came to watch him were given a good show. He averaged 30 points in each game. This book shows Lebron`s path to greatness. He tells us about his journey to the NBA. Today Lebron plays for the Heat and his nickname is King James. This book was an excellent way to learn about what it takes to be a successful ba...more

As of now in the book Lebron is now starting to meet his new friends that he will be playing basketball with for the rest of his childhood. He looks up to MJ (Michael Jordan) and what's to play just like him and that is what he wants to strive for in his childhood and basketball career.

This book wasn't only about LeBron's background, but it was about how he got to where he is. It's also about the people who pushed him to get to where he is today.

I recommend this to people that play basketball. It talks about when Lebron James was young in high school and where he lived. It also talks about his life.
