Until she's stranded at the ranch of the one bachelor "not" looking for love. With his past, search-and-rescue tour guide Gage Parker can barely open his heart to the baby nephew he's caring for, let alone his young and pret ...more

Can't wait to read the rest in this series! Loved how this series started out. Women flocking to an Alaskan town full of eligible bachelors! The lessons learned by both Gage and Karenna are something we can all relate with. Judging those before you truely know them or what has happened to them can be a huge issue with people at times. Despite the fact that both had been burned in the love department they realize the chance that they have before them. Love the storyline of the baby and all the li ...more

When Karenna’s life plans suddenly change after being jilted at the altar, she takes off driving with no destination in mind when she finds herself in a diner in Washington State and reading a magazine article about Treasure Creek, Alaska. She has no plans, no job, and no fiancé. Even her own mother blames her for her fiancé’s abandonment. Life certainly doesn’t seem fair. Treasure Creek sounds like a wonderful place – and the article says it just happens to be full of churchgoing bachelors with ...more

Thanks to Jillian for an author copy of this book to read and review.

This book is the start of a 6 book series by Love Inspired with different authors writing each book. Book one Klondike Hero features Karenna who has just been dumped at the alter and Gage
who has been left to look after his baby nephew.
I have loved Alaska and been fascinated by it for many years and one day hope to see it myself so was very happy to read this story. Gage is one of the tour guides in Treasure Creek and the last
Jillian Hart was a great choice to begin this Alaskan Bride Rush contemporary series set in Treasure Creek, Alaska. She has a talent for character development, and I always find myself enjoying the people she includes in her novels. They never seem two-dimensional or unrealistic, and even her somewhat secondary characters in this story, such as Grandmother Jean, are people you end up wishing were your neighbors.Gage and Karenna, the main characters, have both been hurt in a relationship recently ...more

Ah, guilty pleasures. Not the best writing in the world, but darn it, it's like a Hallmark movie in book form. With a lot more Christian messages thrown in. Too bad no libraries around here carry these.

this is the only book I don't have. It was fun reading how everything started since I already knew the ending.

Recommends it for: Anyone
I'm really enjoying this series. Treasure Creek is a place that I would love to visit. I'm sure it's based on some true stories as years ago I remember a news story about available men in Alaska, but was way too young at the time to even consider something like moving there - I think I was around 12 or something. But it's a fun series and all the "Brides" have really been entertaining as well as the grooms. Have several of the books in the series, but had never read this one before. Loved it.

Matthew is so blessed to have such a loving and caring group of people in his life. Even though he was not one of the main characters he was such a perfect addition. Gage has been hurt so bed that he finds that it is hard to trust, pushing the people that love him away. This is a story of him finding himself with the help of those that love him. Can't wait to read the next book of "The Alskian Bride" series.

I enjoyed this book a lot!!!! As I always do with Jillian's books. I fell in love with Karrena and Gage, and ALL the other residents of Treasure Creek, Alaska. And I could just picture the beauty of Alaska. I cannot WAIT to continue reading about the rest of the residents and how they find love in Treasure Creek, in the Alaskan Bride series. This should be a good series.

This was a filler book. I hadn't read something in a while and was desperate to get my hands on a book. It was pretty well written and a sweet story of broken hearted bride to be finding a new love with a marriage averse divorced man. If you really want a romance novel to add to your list of books or just to pass the time this is a good book.

Karenna & Gabe's story was great and little Matthew was adorable.

I can't wait for the rest of the series.

It has a search going on that is being continued so it adds some mystery

to the stories as well.

Another great work by Jillian Hart. A wonderful read. Loved the setting in Treasure Creek, Alaksa. Wish it were a real town and I could go there. Jillian made the characters of Gage and Karenna seem so real.
As always, I love the humor in Jillian's stories. :) She does a great job introducing the town and its residents. I'll be looking forward to the other authors' offerings in this series.
