Read with kindergarteners and first graders, who liked it. Most of them have read "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie..." and were able to make the connection that this is the same author. I chose it principally because of the M words, since M is the letter the kindergarteners are learning this week. The book is entertaining and the illustrations are nice, but it feels like a thin imitation of the first book.

This was my favorite book to read to the kids when I worked in an elementary school. The moose just goes nuts! It's such a fun, imaginative story about how one small decision can catapult into a myriad of problems/adventures.

Anyone who wants to read a good, very short book
This was probably the FIRST book I ever read. I found it soo fascinating then, and even now I still am in love with this book. I would really reccomend that if you haven't read this book, that you do whenever you get a chance!

I didn't like this one as much as "If you give a mouse a cookie". It kind of felt like what the movie studios do with a really good movie that made boat loads of money-> make a sequel even if it doesn't need one.

This book is pretty good. My 3 year old liked it, but didn't love it. We've only checked it out once from the library. I'd say to get a 5, we've had to check it out at least 3 times! It's pretty cute though.

I liked this book almost as much as "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie". I only wish that I'd thought of the idea and written these books first. (Ha, ha don't we all say that when a simple idea makes it big.)

We love all of the If You Give.... books. After reading this one, we made up a game based on the story and we also made muffins, of course. Our next step....making sock puppets.

I love these books! They're fun to read and the illustrations are just great. My youngest son enjoys listening to the stories and I enjoy reading them to him very much!

It's hard to build upon such a classic of "If you give a mouse a cookie" and while this book does not disappoint, it really doesn't add anything new either.

My question is this:
Is the kid a boy or a girl?
And is the moose a little unsure of his gender, or just a friendly, innocent moose?

Better than If You Give a Pig a Pancake but still doesn't pass the cuteness test of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.

Feels a bit forced, like she's trying to recapture the glory days of, "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie," but still quite wonderful.

Moose, muffins, what more can you ask for? A bit of a strange combination, but it works. Another winner for Laura Numeroff

Incredibly fun book for children. They usually react with laughter and giggles- it's well worth reading to 4-6 year olds.

Love this, it is so cute, and my daughter liked that she could "read" right along with me when she was very little.

Even though this is just a repeat of the "If you give a mouse a cookie" formula, it's still a fun book for the kids

Best of the series. Silly, fun book for young children with great illustrations, and I enjoy it.

This one didn't grab my daughter as much as the others in the series; it doesn't build quite as clearly.
