When it comes to be Emma Harrison`s audition for Princess Lyrica and the Choral Kingdom, she is disappointed. She doesn`t get to be Princess Lyrica! She`s the nasty old cackling witch, with her best friend, Victoria, by her side as her cat. Emma wants to drop out of the play, but Miss Lisa tells her, 'A good actor, like you, would never drop out of such a good opportunity!' Emma does not, but she makes changes that Miss Lisa isn`t happy about. Of course, this disappoints Emma even more. She make...more
My 1st grader has read through this a couple times and she seems to enjoy it. After reading it myself, I think it is only ok. There are much better chapter books available for 1st & 2nd graders.

This is a really cute book that was recommended by Ruth, my daughter. It tells the story of a children's musical production where the title characters wants but doesn't get the main role in a play. The book follows her as she handles the role she did received. Very good book for beginning readers.
