The book starts out with defining the history of cats, and people's perception of cats, and then about behavior. The final chapter is a fun look at cat shows, but the three preceding it are a bit weak in their focus.

Overall though, it is a very interesting book on cats, it was written in the 40's so the point of view is from what is known then. But overall, some of the best descriptions of the cats movements I've read. Also, if you have read about any of these cats in the Mr. & Mrs. North se

This is a book that my parents had, and I finally got around to reading it. I have a hardcover edition. It was really excellent, although a few of the facts are outdated. Lots of interesting things which make me appreciate cats even more.
