I Run to You (Bring on the rain #2)

In this sequel to “Bring on the Rain”, Brook Logan has returned to Diamond Back after seven years. Returning to her hometown also means dealing with what drove her away—namely Coy Coburn and his betrayal with her former best friend. Sometimes it's not what you're running from, but whom you're running to, that helps the past and present make sense again.

Good read, liked the story and the way it progressed, the bonding and friendship between the Coburns and Brook's family was really good, they were always there for each other. The love was blossoming between 3 couples Sunny-Renee(age difference),Max-Jordan(Jordan has suffered very much and has trust issues) and Coy-Brook(Coy cheated on Brook with her best friend Karla now in this book she is B****).

The thing that disappointed me was the time span given to couples story was not properly balanced Sunn

The hero and heroine were in love and at prom when they were eighteen when the hero cheated on her. The heroine left town once the tramp who stole her man got pregnant and gave birth to a son. Seven years down the road and now they are both back in their hometown. The hero is still in love with the heroine and won't give up on her this time. He knows he made horrible mistakes and he is going to make it up to her, regardless! The heroine is still haunted by the hero and the hurt in her heart, so ...more

This is the 2nd in the series and I can't honestly say I want to finish the 3rd. The writing doesn't flow from a combination of truly terrible editing and/or sentence structure.

I really couldn't care too much about these characters. The betrayal was huge and devestating and while there was definitely remorse and actions to regain trust, I can't say the HEA was all that believable.

Too many couples and when the sex scenes between the h and the om is hotter than the main couple, the romance just does not work for me. In addition, the h just hang on tooooo long to the past.

Two stars.
