A new spin on lesbian erotica the author creates character like Jessie who is rough around the edges, psycho and wonderer transforming them into a person who has some serious depth. Marci is the exact opposite. Dancing with Venus is raw and emotional. Roscoe James did an exceptional job in stirring up the heat and emotional turmoil in Jessie and Marci’s relationship. I really liked this until the middle. Then, I think it got much too angsty for me. It took away from the story for me. I liked the way Jessie worked on herself in the end, but I was already too much annoyed to enjoy it the way that I hoped. I will give this author another try though. I like to read male romance authors because their voice is different. I just hope the author doesn't think that all women are so needy and full of baggage. We'll see as I read more of his stuff.

It was okay, but didn't love it. Main character too EMO with amazing selective memory. Love scenes seemed a little vague. My first full length F/F, so I don't feel like judging too much.

Born along the dusky red banks of the Ohio River, RJ grew up in a sleepy little town in southern Indiana where the sounds of cicadas and whippoorwills marked the arrival of summer and cruising the town square on a Friday night was a rite of passage. From law enforcement to the hallowed corporate halls of two Fortune 500s he draws from a deep well of life experience. With Spanish as his second lang ...more
