Arthur sends D.W. to buy Kate an ice cream cone, and she carefully ties Pal's leash to a bench outside the store. But when she comes out, Pal has squirmed out of his collar! This was a fun book it would be a great read aloud book. It also had a familiar topic.

This book is about Arthur losing his puppy and Baby Kate notices that D.W. and Arthur's puppy has disappeared, but cannot tell them, as she is a baby. She begins crying and Arthur and D.W. don't know why she is crying. She becomes even more distraught due to Arthur and D.W. not being able to know what she's saying. Eventually, D.W. notices that their puppy was missing and has to go on a search for the lost puppy. The end up finding the puppy Pal at the school after their journey looking for him. ...more

This was a book I read as an adult to my son, Gage, when he was younger. There's nothing too special that stands out about the Arthur books for adults, but they are enjoyable enough for children. Not too funny or interesting.

Marc Tolon Brown is perhaps best known for his Arthur series of children's books.

He lives on Martha's Vineyard and in New York City with his wife, Laurie Krasny Brown. He has three children, sons Tolon and Tucker, and daughter Eliza. The names of his two sons have been hidden in all of the Arthur books except for one: Arthur's Tooth.
