Yes, the Bible.
Here's the thing. I've read the Bible since I was able to read. But I've never actually read it straight through before. The system of this book encourages that by giving the reader a schedule. 12 page a day. Now mind you, those 12 pages may take you an hour. For me they did and more, as I took notes, jotted ideas, prayed inbetween lines, etc.
It actually took me 180 days to finish this, but the transformation that occurs as a result of reading straight th More...

This was a really great way to read the Bible. Not something I'd do very often because it's an intensive reading program. Reading this quickly however, gives you the opportunity to make connections (between books, time periods, old testament and new testament) that are hard to make if you're spreading it out over a year or more.
I feel like I have a better grasp of how things fit together and where certain stories and verses are found.

Always wanted to be able to say that I've read both the old testament and new. I am learning a lot about where different religious ideas come from just by reading the old testament. This book makes it easier to understand, mostly because it's all dates, names and mayhem. I can honestly say this has made Judaism easier to understand as I am better able to ask appropriate questions to my Jewish friends. For me, this was more about exploration of the old testament and less about religion.

Great system! Reading great chunks at a time is a much better way for me to get the whole picture than a few verses a day, whrtr I forget the context by the next time I start up. I recommend you get a group together to read with you, though. It's the rare person who doesn't fall behind at one point or another, and when you're assigned this much material per day, consistency is key. Missed days can snowball, and you need someone there to pull you up out of the pit, or as my group put it, thro

I just started reading "The Bible in 90 Days." It was my New Year's Resolution and this is the copy that I picked up. You pretty much read 12 pages a day and complete it in 90 days. It has been a challange with my 2 year daughter at home wanting to play but I seem to find time to read 12 pages. The reason I picked this bible over so many others is that there isn't as many footnotes as there are in others. So far I really enjoy reading it.

Over 200 people in our worship family are reading this text together. We are loving the journey through Scripture together. I think we would all recommend reading together with a large group.

Actually I am pretty proud of this accomplishment. I purposely did not put it on my currently reading list because I didn't want Goodreads to nag me about how long it was taking me to read it. After all, 90 days is 90 days!! (I actually did it in 89, such an overachiever am I!) It was great to do it in a group like our Sunday School class because we were all in it together. The video session each week set us up for what was coming next. Even though I had probably read/studied about 90% of it

What an amazing experience it has been reading the Bible in 90 days! I did it. Today is day 90 and I finished it today. I wasn't sure that I could do it many times during the 90 days but with the support of my group at www.momstoolbox.com I pushed through and kept reading. The most amazing thing I think was how the whole book seemed to come together for me. Some of the book didn't seem relevant in today's time. But, after reading the whole book, cover to cover, it seems that every part had

The Bible in 90... no, 84 Days!
What an amazing ride this has been!
After many failed attempts at reading through the Bible.. to finish in 84 days is nothing short of God's grace and mercy. Not until tonight has my husband said anything about my disappearing acts to go read. He was my silent cheerleader! Because of the emotional turmoil that has occurred in our home over the past 2 weeks, I was even more focused to stay in the Word. I know really know that God use More...

WOW! This was hard, but it was well worth it!
I will be honest and admit that I missed a few days, but it was still a wonderful time in the Word. It was intense and took about 45 minutes a day, but being saturated in the Word like that was an amazing experience. If you feel like a dry sponge that has nothing left to squeeze out...then I hope you do more than consider taking this 90 day challenge. You will be dripping wet again and will soak anyone who bumps into you!

Reading this version of the Bible, not exactly in 90 days but close, with my church. If you have any desire to read through the whole Bible (which actually I think every Christian should, to prevent selective passage-quoting for political purposes...) this version is a very helpful way to do it because the editors have cut out all study guides and unnecessary annotations so that it reads smoothly like a novel. I really enjoyed this process and am so glad I did it. I always felt that reading a

I was amazed at how much I learned from reading the Bible this quickly. To read it in 90 days required reading about 12 pages a day or about 45 minutes. People would ask me if I could possibly have "gotten anything out of reading the Bible this fast", and I would have to respond, "Got about an hour and I will only be scratching the surface of what I learned". This is my seventh time reading through the Bible, although all the others were reading it in a year. The first t

As with any book, it is better to read the book in as short a time as possible (while still savoring the story!) so that you retain information as you go along. I know when I set aside any book for too long I need to re-read or at least skim a portion of it before picking back up where I left off. 12 pages a day is a great way to get through the Bible in short order, allowing the reader to remember and connect people, stories and information that are interwoven throughout. The Bible itself is a

Well, it's the Bible, so though I would give it five stars alone the five stars are for this format. "The Bible in 90 Days" really focused my reading and I am currently on my third time through in as many years (once a year for about 90 days).

Amazing journey! Have done it 6 times and would like to start again....DVD's are great too! Thanks Ted for making this a doable challenge in 90 Days~~

What a wonderful experience! Reading through the Bible in 90 days really helped me spiritually. Note: I read KJV version.

I am learning there is no way I can read this in 90 days while the kids are out of school.

July 4 - The Book of Proverbs. Filled with such pearls of wisdom as: "A truthful witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours out lies." (14:5) Yeah no kidding.
I also enjoyed this one: "Give beer to those who are perishing, wine to those who are in anguish; let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more." (31:6-7) Seriously? I never would have guessed that the Bible, of all things, would advocate drinking one's troubles away. Yees More...

I finally finished reading the Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelations. This new international version is written so it's easier to read and understand. I really enjoyed reading the Gospels-Matthew, Mark, Luke and John-because it's about Jesus and the lessons he gave us on how to live life with true meaning. If everyone would follow the teachings and treat everyone with kindness what a wonderful place Earth would be--like heaven on earth. I will continue to read this Bible to learn more about

I'm almost done with the Old Testament and have found this whole process really enlightening. It is taking me much longer than 90 days -- maybe I'll have it done in more like 180 -- but reading the Bible in a short span of time has really made the whole process easier. I'm reading it while using my Harper Collins Study Bible version for the historical context and theological background for each book. That has been just enough. I really like not getting interrupted by footnotes and translations,

This was HARD, harder than I first thought it would be! When I browsed this bible at the store, I thought 12 pages a day didn't sound like much; I read more than that in a fiction book. I just didn't realize how much 12 pages of a bible would be. :) I started and stopped several times before I really put my mind to it.
And I finished which is about all I can say. I'm not sure I comprehended as much as I should have but I think it sorta helps to get a big picture and put things together som More...

A great way to read through the entire Bible in a short period of time. It takes about 30-45 minutes a day to read the 12 pages, so there is some commitment involved, but it really is not that hard. Since it is only 90 days, it was nice to see how much retention I had for earlier parts of the Bible that were referenced later on. It made things "click" better for me. It was well worth the time involved.

This is the only Bible-reading plan that I have ever been able to complete! I think that it is successful because of the enormous commitment that one must make--reading 12 pages per day. Knowing that missing one day's reading means reading 24 pages to catch up is good incentive to stay on task. However, I do recommend reading with a group because accountability is key!

I'm not going to lie. This was *hard*. It's a lot to take in at any pace, let alone at 12 pages a day. But it also makes for a more cohesive "story" to hear it all chronologically & not jumping around to random snippets. There are a lot of parts that make more sense, having read it all in order. I'm glad I did it.

Only bad thing about this is that by the time you get past all the animal sacrifice etc. and into the New Testament, you're kind of burned out by reading 12 pages per day. I am now re-reading the New Testament a couple of chapters a day to really absorb it. Also just finished a fantastic bible study.

It was a completely different read from doing it over a one year span. The Bible literally came to life and I read things I never remembered reading and things have stuck with me like never before. It was such a fabulous journey doing it again starting January 25th and ending on Easter!
