Recommends it for: Fans of Erotic Romance, Lora Leigh and/or The Breeds
Some readers seem to think that a good storyline and good erotic content are mutually exclusive, and while, unfortunately, this is often the case, I, for one, do not automatically think that my brain needs to be checked at the door when I'm in the mood for a really hot, steamy romance. But alas, perhaps I'm expecting too much. The plot of Elizabeth's Wolf felt like it was built up around the scorching love scenes, and when all was said and done, I was left with more questions than answers both a ...more

The letter came at a time in his life when the battle inside his soul could have tipped either way.
The first opening line...memorable, broken, sad - the feelings it ignited in me were just unbelievable!!
My Momma says there might not really be fairies but it’s okay if I think there are. Cause nothing don’t exist if you don’t believe in it. And if you believe in it, then it’s real as sunshine. I believe in you, Dash.
Connected by an emotional bond, three people will have to fight enemies deter

Featured Couple: Dash Sinclair (Wolf) & Elizabeth Colder (Human)

In this book, we read about one of the most popular characters in this series, Cassie. Cassie doesn't show up much often in the series. She is introduced in this book as a secondary character. She is the child who was writing letters to Dash describing her life and her mother.

Dash is a soldier who almost gets killed and almost loses her will to live since all his squad has died. Little Cassie’s letters hav

Opening Line: "The letter came at a time in his life when the battle inside his soul could have tipped either way."

Now this is the Lora Leigh that made me a fan. Erotic romance at its best; Steamy, graphic love scenes mixed with action and suspense. Written in 2004 (when she still used an editor and cared) and before her storylines became repetitive, ridiculous and made sense.

ELIZABETH'S WOLF was my first Breed book and even though its the forth in the series, stands alone just fine and had me

Im not a big fan of books with children - theyre usually too sugary sweet or too unbelievable mature for their age. That said, I must admit I LOVED Cassie. How could I not? She made me smile with her chocolate "addiction" - one I can truly relate to :) - and she broke my heart when her "horrible past" was revealed. I loved Dash and Elizabeth too, but it was Cassie who made the book for me. I wonder if well ever see her grown up and what choices in life shell make.

As for the "kinky stuff"... When

Elizabeth's Wolf is another winner from Lora Leigh. This book has the longest length so far (that I've read) out of all her Ellora's Cave published Breed books, so we get excellent story telling plus all the hot, naughty, nekkid sex Lora Leigh could throw at us. This book was smoking hot and Dash was delicious! I really liked Elizabeth too and all the cute glimpses I got with Cassie in Kiss of Heat, I got even more of in Elizabeth's Wolf.

Dash was a really take charge kind of man and only in a r

Elizabeth's Wolf had one of the best starts to a story I've ever read. It captured my immediate attention and drew me into the story without hesitation, leaving me convinced from the outset that this was going to be one helluva 5 star read.

Special Forces soldier Dash Sinclair lies gravely wounded in a Middle East army hospital, victim of a bombing that killed the rest of his unit. Always a solitary man, Dash has little to live for until one day his commanding officer reads him a letter from a li

Whew! I've enjoyed all the Breed books I've read so far, but this one was exceptional! Both the lead characters were strong, yet vulnerable. Neither could believe their good fortune in finding the other. A child is involved, who has to deal with issues way beyond her tender years. Peripheral characters round things out by giving further insights into the hero's character. Oh, yeah; the intimancy between the couple is INTENSE! This IS Lora Leigh, after all! A suspenseful, tender, HOT, emotional l ...more

Elizabeth’s Wolf is one of my favorites in the Breeds series. It’s because it has a wounded soldier and a little girl. I feel in love with Dash the first moment he is featured and of course Cassie and her mother.

I love how the story starts, love Cassie our little girl who has a little fairy that guides her to write to this soldier who has no family, no friends, no one to write too him. It brings home the sacrifices our men and women make even toughs who don’t have someone waiting back home for

Lora Leigh veers a little from the formula of her Breeds books with this third installment. This time around, instead of a feline hero, we've got a Wolf Breed at the story's center. And that means a whole new bag of quirks for the relationship. Instead of a barb on his cock, Dash's dick makes a knot. And it's self lubricating (a handy tool when we get to the anal.)

But let me start with the actual plot. Dash is a military man with no family and no friends. He is nearly killed in the attack that w

While I didn't like the first two books AT ALL, I kinda enjoyed this one. But not because I'm getting more used to the series or anything but because this book was way different from the first 2.

At least in this installment we get to see a relationship growing between the hero and the heroine and in a way we can believe. In the first 2 books we had a very irrational and unbelievable link between the main characters. It just felt like a poor intent of recreating porn. Moreover the plot was even w

Having read the later books in this series many recommended this one, so I backed up and read it. Several characters that appear later in the series are in this one--briefly, i.e., Mercury Warrant (upcoming Mercury's War), Dawn (Dawn's Awakening), Tanner (Tanner's Scheme), etc.

I thoroughly enjoyed the beginning and most of the book, but toward the end it kinda dragged for me. Too much print on friendships, training, talking about the final battle, etc. I did not care for the need to dominate th

I love these Breed books. A lot of people were saying how this was one of their favorites from Lora Leigh and I had to agreed. It kind of overlaps the same time period as book #2, so you should read these in order. Would recommend this book.

Love this book!! Definitely added to the favs shelf for me. Elizabeth is a very likable heroine esp in the breed world where sometimes the heroines can be a little over the top arguemenitive. And Dash, sigh, what can I say about that man, he is a wonderful alpha male who is very protective and caring. Normally not a prologue fan, but the one in this book with the letters actually had tears in my eyes and was very touching and a favorite part of the book for me.

It all begins with a teacher who gives her second graders an opportunity to become pen pals with soldiers in Afghanistan. Little Cassie writes to Dash, a wolf-human who is nearly dying in the military hospital, and feeling apathetic. Her letters, filled with fear, motivate him to heal fast so he can go save Cassie and her mother, Elizabeth.

Nice set up, huh? A fine beginning, when Dash was in the hospital in Afghanistan. Then he comes to find them, and spends some time on their trail, for Elizabe

Taking a break from this. Such an engaging story, absolutely addictive through the halfway point.
I cant say that it is less interesting as the story continues because I stopped around 70%.

My issues:
I have my own strange boundaries when it comes to erotic books. I rarely finish them. But I think I read them to discover what my boundaries are. In this book, I found myself a bit overwhelmed by Dash, the hero. He starts out as the best hero ever, but eventually his ego, control issues, and kinky

So, I just finished the 3rd. book on the breeds series and I have to say that I did like it very much. Until now this one is the best one of the series.
A story that is well balanced, with all the right ingredients and above all very, very hot. This one is not for the weak of heart...
Loved the strong personality of Elizabeth and the heartbreaking loneliness of Dash.

Probably one of the better, if not the best story in the Breed series.

For one, the hero Dash, did not have many caveman moments which I find as a huge relief.

And I am a little bit perturbed that someone as young as Cassie can speak so eloquently. While I understand that as a Breed, she has somewhat an advanced level of intelligence, it just doesn’t add up right since she behaves just like any eight year old would. It’s like there are two Cassies, and I find the more eloquent Cassie very, very f

I freely admit that I am an addict to Lora Leigh Breed series and have been for some years. Recently, her books have not been so hot and a little repetitive, so unlike her earlier books. I decided to re-read all her earlier books to fill in the missing gaps that I had forgotten over the years. Glad I did. This book was great. This is Cassie's, Dash and Elizabeth's book. Cassie's features heavily in all the Breed books and it was good to refresh my memory of how it first started with Dash and Eli ...more

The third book in the Breeds series was about Elizabeth and Dash. I really enjoyed Dash he was a great character and I truly enjoyed reading about him and how he was the runt of the pack and how he became a great soldier. I loved his relationship with Cassie and eventually Elizabeth. It was a book hard to put down and it was great to see how many friends Dash had.

So, I went and did the one thing I swore I would never do again. Somehow, Elizabeth’s Wolf by Lora Leigh ended up tempting me into peeking into her world of romance once again, something I swore to myself I would never ever do because most of the books I have picked up by Lora Leigh seems not to have worked for me that well. But, with all the glowing reviews from my fellow Goodreads friends for this title prodding me along the way, I ended up picking this up, hoping that this would be worth my t ...more
