Presents the 'Historical Pre-Millenial' view of the rapture of the church.
This book was insrumental in shaking my belief in a 'secret' pre-tribulational Rapture.
Excellent research by Dr. Ladd, whom I heard speak while I was a semiary student in California.
Eli
One of the best critiques of the pretribulational rapture available. Sound, reasonable and irenic.
Brett
Read this years ago. Great book for dismantling Pre-tribulational rapture theology.

Another classic I re-read after 25 years. Ladd was an excellent NT scholar. He is a historical pre-millennialist. He has written a strong apology for this position. His spirit is an example to followed when disagreeing with another position.
