Angela, the heroine, is a widow and about to re-marry but is having doubts about it. She's also been suffering from anxiety and insomnia recently. When her long term friend Shane, the hero, arrives she feels more relaxed. However Shane finds signs that Angela is being stalked and vows to protect her and her son. Just lost interest in this a little over half way through. I guess the ending just became very obvious and it obviously wasn't so intense I needed to finish it. Decent writing and interesting storyline. I just put it down and read some other books intending to get back to it but never did.

Hook, Line And Shotgun Bride by Cassie Miles is an enjoyable read. This well written book is fast paced and full of lovable characters, drama, action and sexy bits. I look forward to reading more from Cassie Miles in the future. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Cassie grew up in a small town at the very tip of southern Illinois. A tomboy, she spent most of her time outside and got into big trouble for breaking the trellis while climbing out her second-story bedroom window.

When her family moved to L.A., major culture shock ensued. She discovered that grapefruits grew on trees, television offered more than two channels, and all the other girls had breasts.
