If I could give out 2.5 stars, that's what I would have given this book. This is in no way intended to take anything away form the person whom this book was written about, or his comrades. The rating is merely a judge of how well the book's writing was. I read this book mainly because it dealt with some of the exploits of the 4th Marine Division on Iwo Jima, but I didn't really enjoy the way it was written.
