First, let me say from the top that this book is physically well-constructed. Strong pages, durable binding. Can't get better than that.
Each page has one sentence on it, counting down from ten kisses at the start to one kiss at the end. They also have (though this is subtle) a number of hearts corresponding to the number of kisses.
Very short, very simple, very sweet and (if you don't go overboard with your own kissing) very calm.

Parents who want help getting their baby to sleep
I read this book every night to my daughter. It's the LAST book that I read to her EVERY night. It counts the kisses from 10 kisses to 1 kiss before the sleepy baby is put to bed. Without fail, she's nodding off by 4 kisses.
My only complaint is that the pages are kind of hard to turn and given that it is a board book you wouldn't think that would be the case.

This is a fun interactive book. The pictures exude warmth, with different members of the family kissing baby.

You don't really need an excuse to cover your kids with kisses, but they like the structure.

I love this book and so does Ellie. It's a fun way to teach reading is fun, and emotions.
