A Singular Notion is a beautiful book. I loved the writer's descriptions of her present-day life in rural Wyoming, in the Black Hills, as well as her stories of growing up in France. As she cares for her mother, who is dying, the author reflects upon life, offering wisdom and hope. The style of the writing is lyrical and lovely. A book to be savored and reread.
