This is the perfect companion to the winter CSA box we've been trying out. An illustrated glossary in the front of the book helps identify some of the local produce not common in grocery stores, and the recipes themselves offer hearty, delicious-sounding ways to use up the parsnips, carrots, and kale that overflow the box each week. Very thorough explanations of alot of winter vegetables. The author is from Bellingham, so the information is relevant and local. But the recipes themselves - I only bookmarked a handful to try, and nothing caught my eye as exciting or new.
